Zone1 Pastor: They’re Not Deceived – Trump Evangelicals Are CHOOSING the Lies

no, no, it's about your favorite boogeyman and your daily dopamine hit: how pathetic TRUMPSTERS are.

Okay, the thread is not about TRUMP but TRUMPSTER.

Now, answer the questions or slink away, again, defeated.
Mac1958 has become one of the USMB jokes.
Deep in TDS - he honestly thinks he is fair minded. Honestly doesn't think his 948 TTRRRRUUUMMPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! threads is no indication that he is biased.

He is a joke now.

One of the most disturbing and difficult-to-understand things about this whole period -- perhaps THE most disturbing and difficult-to-understand thing -- for many of us across the political spectrum, Left to Right, is the way evangelicals have supported this vulgar, dishonest, divisive, cruel, awful man.
Why I can’t take the ultra religious seriously

They quickly condemn anyone who strays from the path but are willing to endorse an egotistical adulterer who has broken every commandment

I understand that Trump supports their agenda of banning abortion, religion in schools and removal of separation of church and state.

But you can’t find a more devoutly religious Christian than Mike Pence and they turn their back on him.
Pence would follow the same Christian agenda as Trump

And now you are just repeating Mantras.

Amazon. T-Mobil. UPS.

These aren't government jobs.
Unemployment is 4.3. So what.s We are in transtion from government jobs to real jobs

Yep. The religion has become perverted -- by some, not all. They sold it out. They've fused their religion with hyperpartisan politics, and that doesn't exactly have a great global historical track record.

You shouldn't take any "ultra- X" seriously.
Religious, partisan hacks, party loyalist... hear that part?? - Party loyalist?

He cant see his own stupidity. Everything is better under Trump after 4 years of a Biden disaster. We had 4 years of leadership by a severely impaired president with advanced dementia and the democrats lied in our faces when it was there in plain sight. Thats as stupid as it gets.
Tell us about 4th quarter gdp.

There is no shortage of examples of how fusing religion and politics leads to something bad.

I don't know if this is ignorance of history, or the bizarre notion that "we'll just do it right this time".
Thats what your fake Christian is doing

I don't endorse anyone's adultery. What are you talking about? A vote for president does not mean you "condone" every single wrong thing a person did in their lives. MY GOODNESS, the self-righteousness in this post

How can they do this, how can they justify this? The Christians in my family who are horrified by what they're seeing are still wrestling with this question.

This is a retired pastor who, in his characteristically calm and civil way, tries to help us understand what is happening here. He doesn't think these people are "stupid". He has a very interesting take, and for those who are interested in this important question, you might find it to be an interesting use of 20 minutes.

Well, if we evangelicals had our way, we would vote for an evangelical pastor for President. And if we had our way, we would makes sure the President was a man and not a woman. And, if we had our way, we would make homosexuality illegal....as it should be. And, if we had our way, we would make Islam illegal and tear down every Moslem mosque and deport them all. So many things we would like to see in a President.

But then, all the leftists will start whining and complaining about 'separation of Church and State'. They start complaining about 'Freedom of Religion'. They start complaining about their 'Civil Rights'.

Does that idiot in the video think we should elect a President like Jesus? If he doesn't like Trump, he sure isn't going to like it when Jesus takes over. Jesus will be a 'dictator' of the first degree. There is no democracy in the Kingdom.

We who are evangelical are not trying to put a pastor in as President. We are trying to put in a man who is conservative because Christians are conservative. We are trying to put in a man who can best run the country the way we see fit. All will have flaws. So what? I'm not worried about the flaws. I'm concerned on how he runs the country.

Would anyone have elected Moses as leader of Israel knowing he killed a man? Or David, who was guilty of murder and adultry with the man's wife? Or Solomon who had 700 wives?

This idiot in the video is not concerned about anything other than trying to lead white evangelicals away from Trump. His concerns are political, not religious.

My opinion.

It does when you have the option of a true Christian who sincerely follows the Bible in Mike Pence

They continue to tell themselves that only evil left wing commies hold this opinion.

Two of many examples to the contrary: Conservatives Charlie Sykes and Pete Wehner:

Here is the simple fact of the matter:

They see Trump as a useful idiot that will get them closer to their goals, which all require use of the force of law, as their goals are not popular.

It's not hard to imagine that a bunch of people who spend all day selfishly putting on an act to punch their own tickets to the forever festival in the sky can seamlessly slide into supporting such scum, when it is the clearest path to fulfilling more of their selfish goals.

Imagine the amount of justifying they have to do. At least at first. Then it's just second nature.

Oh that's good to know. So no homosexuals can be Christians. The Bible said so.

Welp, solved that one

We're not interested in your Christofascism, Mac.

Yes, many Christians do believe that.

Well according to rightwinger following the Bible's rules about adultery means we should be consistent and also shun homosexuals.

So no Christian should vote for, say, Pete Buttegieg because he's gay.

Wow, that was easy

PS I would vote for a gay conservative because "what he does in the bedroom does not impact his job"....hey remember when you all said these things? HAHAHA
