One of the most disturbing and difficult-to-understand things about this whole period -- perhaps THE most disturbing and difficult-to-understand thing -- for many of us across the political spectrum, Left to Right, is the way evangelicals have supported this vulgar, dishonest, divisive, cruel, awful man. How can they do this, how can they justify this? The Christians in my family who are horrified by what they're seeing are still wrestling with this question.

This is a retired pastor who, in his characteristically calm and civil way, tries to help us understand what is happening here. He doesn't think these people are "stupid". He has a very interesting take, and for those who are interested in this important question, you might find it to be an interesting use of 20 minutes.

There's no such thing as a "late-term" abortion. When a pregnancy is brought to term, it is born. An accurate term would be "Late Trimester abortions", which only account for 1% of all abortions performed and are usually for pretty serious medical reasons.

(Or do you think there's a woman out there that goes through 8 months of morning sickness and body distortion and says, "Screw it, let's abort that sucker!")

As for "gender surgeries on minors", those are statistically non-existant.

there are 300,000 Transgender youth in this country. Only 5000 of them are even getting hormone treatments.
