And it is ludicrous the arguments the leftists in Congress and on social media are using to condemn the GOP on this.

They say it outs LGBT people before they are ready. It does nothing of the kind. It requires the schools to allow parents to be informed of the material and curricula the teachers are using.

They say it bans books. It does nothing of the kind. It requires the schools to make reading lists and information about all curriculum being taught in the school available to parents.

When I was in school, when my kids were in school, parents were welcome in the classroom as home room moms, observers, mentors, tutors. We had parent/teacher conferences and PTAs were well attended. Parents had a lot of input with the school boards. We had access not only to all textbooks but to the instructional manuals the teachers used.

Now the leftists that mostly control the schools blame lack of parental involvement for the poor education the children while they don't want the parents involved at all in what they are teaching the kids.

It is insane. And while I would prefer the states and local communities run the schools, I cannot fault the GOP for seeing this particular problem that exists and doing something about it.

So leftists. What argument can you make for the parents not being fully informed about what their children are being taught and exposed to in the public schools? Will anybody address that question specifically and not try to divert it to something else?

If the school and teachers are deliberately keeping things from the parents they should know, WTF good does it do to go to the teachers and school if they're not going to talk? What if they are telling your kid whatever they do, don't discuss X issue with your parents?

That's what this bill is all about. It would be a federal requirement that the school must inform parents of anything out of the ordinary with their children. Why do you want parents to have to play games like this?

No, teachers shouldn't be teaching THEIR morality. They should be teaching math, science, history and similar subjects. We don't send our kids to school to learn morality.
