Has Fascism come to America?

Because we are in charge and implementing our policies. If you're going to use violence to stop us, then you the "ball is in your court".
We don't need to do that. All we have to do is patiently watch y'all turn against each other. That's not happening yet, but keep your eyes peeled.

You're teh one that posted, as though you support it, a symbol of a violent street movement, that has riots and murders to it's credit in the fairly recent past.

So.... that was what we were discussing.

Are you dropping your point of threatening violence against us?

Just desserts will be served when the time comes.

So, now you are back to threatening violence, after playing dumb on it.

You talk of violence, but you are such a coward that you talk in circles to avoid taking a clear stand.

Pathetic.

Can you draw?

Why yes. It has. MAGA!

Seriously though, I never thought I would see this.

Source: What Is Fascism?

Many experts agree that fascism is a mass political movement that emphasizes extreme nationalism, militarism, and the supremacy of the nation over the individual. This model of government stands in contrast to liberal democracies that support individual rights, competitive elections, and political dissent.

In many ways, fascist regimes are revolutionary in nature. They advocate for the overthrow of existing systems of government and the persecution of political enemies. However, such regimes are also highly conservative in their championing of traditional values.

And although fascist leaders typically claim to support the everyman, in reality, their regimes often align with powerful business interests.

Sound familiar? It should.

Existing forms of government are being overthrown through the destruction of our institutions with the Executive usurping powers traditionally given to Congress and openly defying the courts when checked.

Note the last line: aligned with powerful business interests: Musk (who is raking in millions in government contracts), Bezos, Zuckerberg.

Characteristics of Facism:

Extreme Nationalism - check.

Fascist leaders believe in the supremacy of certain groups of people based on characteristics such as race, religion, ethnicity, and nationality.

Cult of personality - check.

Fascist regimes cultivate images of their leaders as great figures to be loved and admired. This cult of personality is often perpetuated through mass media and propaganda. …The Pope chalked up Il Duce’s survival of assassination attempts to divine intervention, adding to Mussolini’s mystique.

How did Fascists come to power? This is interesting, because it tracks what has actually been happening.

“It wasn’t overnight. History laid the groundwork – a pattern of liberal decay.

First, fascist parties gained a foothold in government through initially democratic means. However, over time, the party consolidated power, and ultimately secured their dictatorship.”

Note: Trump is seeking ways for a 3rd term and a Congressman is creating a bill to create a path to a 3rd term that only applies to Trump’s situation.

Restoring the people's power to the people it's not fascism you have no idea what fascism is

It is wrong, unAmerican, foolish, silly to confuse a fascist dictatorship with a restructuring of government so that it is serving and working for the people instead of mostly for itself.

Not at all.

There is no confusion.

The “restructuring “ as you put it, is completely unaccountable, rife with corruption, and in many of it’s actions, unconstitutional and/or infringing on the constitutional powers given to Congress. This “restructuring” has deliberately dismantled the independent watchdog entities, removed protections and transparency, abolished rules that help enforce ethics and accountability.

Without all that, it’s preposterous to claim it is “working for the people”.

Fascism isn't just nationalism. An "America First" mentality or policy is in no way fascist.
No, it isn’t, that is why I didn’t rely on only that one thing to make my argument.

The best one line description of Fascism is this: "Authoritarian nationalism, racism, and suppression of dissent."

Any intellectually honest assessment would see that in the previous administration far more than anything that can be identified in the current one.
That is a joke right?

Authoritarianism and suppression of dissent: deliberately overriding the judicial branch, usurping Congressional powers, using the DoJ to go after free media, law firms, NGO’s and individuals who have criticized Trump, supported his opponents, or played any role in holding his administration accountable.

Suppression of dissent: going after protesters exercising their rights to peaceful protests, kidnapping and disappearing people off the street (masked agents in plain clothes, refusing to identify themselves) and incarcerating them without charges or access to lawyers, friends or relatives. Some, for no more reason than critical social media posts.

Don’t pretend the Biden administration came anywhere close to this, that is frankly delusional thinking.

Should we use your playbook? Would you then call us patriots?

America is not a Democracy; it is a Republic. or it was.
It is a Republic with a democratic system of government, hence a democracy. Just because it isn’t a direct democracy doesn’t mean it isn’t a democracy. You can’t be all for “giving the power back to the people” and then claim it isn’t a democracy.

Gawd, that has been so bizarre.

I guess her splashy cosplaying is appropriate for the Pro Wrestling Party™, and I'm sure the flock is real impressed by her fabulous wardrobe 'n stuff, but holy crap.

That picture of her, all dolled up, photo-ready, unknowingly pointing a gun at a guy's fuckin' head, is a PERFECT symbol of this administration.

It make’s me sick to see our government resorting to completely unprofessional theatrics like this. And speaking of unprofessional, have you seen the Whitehouse.gov Covid page?

As usual, the problem here is one of definition. MAGA has their own definitions for words, and so trying to carry on a conversation is all but pointless. In fairness, sometimes it's possible in real life.

I knew it was over a while back when I saw them calling Democrats both Nazis and commies, two ideologies that are clearly not the same.

But from the father of Fascism:

They've gone full talk radio. Watching Hegseth talk is like watching a hardcore podcast. That actually goes for several of them.

We've obviously had some ideological White Houses, but this one is in a league of its own. Aggressive and punitive.

Aggressive and punitive is how to address the problems created by the left.

We don't need to do that. All we have to do is patiently watch y'all turn against each other. That's not happening yet, but keep your eyes peeled.
You are right, it's not happening yet, except to your Democratic Party. It's quite entertaining especially on the extreme Left where the "Squad" has been kicked to the sideline by the non-stop yakking of Jasmine Crockett.
