Palestinians: 10,000 years ago, since Abraham or since the Mandate for Palestine?

Marty, do us a favor and do not help derail the thread.
It is about proof of Palestinians having migrated to Canaan around 10,000 years ago, or 4000 years ago.

If they cannot come up with any proof of it, let us not respond. Thanks.

Not true. Arafat was born in Egypt because his Palestinian father was working there at the time. All of his siblings were born in Palestine.
How was Arafat’s father a “Palestinian” when no place had existed in the Middle East named Palestine? Palestine was Britain’s English name for the British Mandate that started in 1923. Arafat was born in 1929 in Egypt.

Abdul Ghani Salameh: There was nothing called a palestinian people…

Abraham had an Arab wife named Keturah and Moses had an Arab wife named Ziporrah.

The Jews themselves are northcoast Canaanites from Urfa near Haran.
Where do Arabs’ Quran or any pre-Quran Arabian records say Abraham and Moses had Arab wives? Nowhere. Never happened.

Try the Bible or the Torah.
Even IF they were Arabs, they are not the Patriarchs of the Palestinians.

They were not Palestinians.

Now, show us chapter and verse in the Hebrew Scripture where it says that those women were Arabs or even that they were known as Palestinians.

Christians and Muslims revere the patriarchs.

The word “Palestinian” does not exist in Middle Eastern sources.

It is understandable that some posters may confuse or deny the use of the word Palestinians, for a people, with the word Palestine, for a region in Ancient Canaan.

Which is it? Has a Palestinian identity and culture existed since a mass migration to Canaan 10,000 years ago, (was there such a mass migration?) or were they there since the time of Abraham, or are they a more modern creation after the Balfour Declaration, Mandate for PALESTINE, and Israel's Independence in 1948?

Was the identity created by Nasser in 1964 in Moscow with the help of the Soviet KGB? For what reason?

This is the thread to show Palestinian History before the Mandate for Palestine. The Palestinian Museum is rather silent about it.

Palestine, the region:

The word Palestine derives from the Greek word, Philistia, which dates to Ancient Greek writers' descriptions of the region in the 12th century B.C. Since the fall of the Ottoman Empire in World War I to 1948, Palestine typically referred to the geographic region located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River. Arab people who call this territory home have been known as Palestinians since the early 20th century. Much of this land is now considered present-day Israel.

Scholars believe the name “Palestine” originally comes from the word “Philistia,” which refers to the Philistines who occupied part of the region in the 12th century B.C.

Throughout history, Palestine has been ruled by numerous groups, including the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Fatimids, Seljuk Turks, Crusaders, Egyptians and Mamelukes.

From about 1517 to 1917, the Ottoman Empire ruled much of the region.

Palestinians, the People:

I cannot find one invader or visitor to the area who identified any of the population present as Palestinian. Any Arabs, Bedouin or Druze who might have called themselves or would be identified by that national identity by any of those invaders, visitors or inhabitants.

The Ottoman Census of 1831 to 1917 divides the population of the region as such:

The word “Palestinian” does not even appear in Middle East historical sources. Prior to the 20th century, no evidence exists of any people self-identifying as “Palestinians” nor of others identifying any people as “Palestinians.”

I am waiting for an answer from Surada. Whenever she is ready with it.

Palestinians (Arabic:, al-Filasṭīniyyūn; Hebrew: פָלַסְטִינִים, Fālasṭīnīm) or Palestinian peopleشعب الفلسطيني, ash-shab al-Filasṭīnī), also referred to as Palestinian Arabs (الفلسطينيين العرب, al-Filasṭīniyyīn al-ʿArab), are an ethnonational group descending from peoples who have inhabited the region of Palestine over the millennia, and who are today culturally and linguistically Arab.

Anyone can - it's open to all and can be modified and edited by anyone. However, Wikipedia's administrators protect some pages from direct editing if they believe they are regularly subjected to "vandalism" - the addition of abusive language or falsehoods.

Philistia has NOTHING to do with Palestine.. Philistia is referring to the Sea people.

10,000 years ago is long before Abraham or the Akkadian Empire from Arabia or even the Marsh Arabs.

Do you even remember Nasser or the cause of the Suez Crisis?

Are you still at this? I am not. You continue to prove nothing you allege. I will not waste my time.

Nasser was all about pan Arabism.

There were no distinct "Palestinians" then.

They might have taught you something else at the Madrasdas you attended, as a child, but they were wrong.

The truth is just the truth all day long. It doesn't change based on political ambitions. You should be more sensitive to such demonization considering Hitler did that to the Jewish people.
