“Palestine” just an old Roman name for ancient Israel. There never has been a place named “Palestine” founded by a people named “Palestinians”

Eusebius, a prominent Christian writer and other Christian writers translated into Latin had the Roman name Palaestina. European Christians adopted Palaestina after the Renaissance, looking back into Roman records.

Marty, you're trying to erase the Palestinians like Hitler tried to erase Jews.

The word “Palestinian” doesn’t even appear in Middle East historical records.

What historical records?

Every thread you post is about erasing the Palestinians.

Have you read Ibn Battuta or Rabbi Benjamin Tudela?

Jews appear in Middle East historical records as a self-identified community, and as a community identified as Jews by other ancient civilizations dating back 3,000+ years.

There are no people in Middle East historical records self-identified as Palestinians nor identified by other Middle East civilizations as Palestinians.

Neither do the Marsh Arabs but their history goes back 5000 years. In it's history Israel was often a vassal state to the Greeks, Babylonians, Egyptians etc.

Are Bosnian Palestinians Arabs? Last time I checked, Bosnia was located in Europe.

Omar invited the Jews to return to Jerusalem after the Roman expulsion. You know the treaty of Omar?

Are Bosnian Palestinians Arabs? Is Bushnak (Bosniak) really an Arabic word? How about Palestinians from Crimea and the Caucuses—Also Arabs? 😂

Literary, archaeological records: No people identified as Palestinians. History literally was invented in the Middle East with the innovation of writing, about 5,000 years ago: Not one word about a people identified as Palestinians.

500 years before Rome was a force the Greeks called Palestine a province of Syria.

Palestine was ruled by eleven different countries.

Did you know the Pact of Umar was a compilation of rules of subjugation for the dhimmi?

I've read the treaty of Omar. He invited the Jews to return to Jerusalem.

Read Ibn Battuta or Rabbi Benjamin Tudela. There were very few Jews in Israel.

Contrary to popular belief, there never has been a place named “Palestine” founded by “Palestinians”. Never. What the anti-Israel propagandists generally don’t know, because they’re historically illiterate or just plain dumb, is the name Palestine originated as a Roman name for ancient Israel (Romans called the country Judea, signifying land of the Jews). That’s right: Palestine is a Latin word, not Arabic. The Romans imposed the name Palestine on Jews in retribution for a Jewish Revolt, about 2,000 years ago, intended to erase the Jewish heritage of their homeland. Palestine referred to Philistines, well-known enemies of the Israelites recorded in the Bible.

Below are excerpts from books by eminent scholars of Roman history who wrote about the episode of Roman Palestine. So, Palestine never really existed in the Middle East. It’s a Western nickname for Jews’ Homeland.

Palestine has no connection at all to Philistines.

Why do you insist on that stupid lie?

The Philistines were Greeks from the Agean.

If you had read the treaty of Omar you would have picked up some clues as to restrictions on the dhimmi class. Did you know the dhimmi, non-Moslems, lived under oppressive restrictions imposed by the Moslem invaders / conquerors?

You know less than nothing. The name Palestine is related to Philistines that invaded ancient Israel and inhabited the Mediterranean coast. Jewish Bible calls the Mediterranean Sea “sea of the Philistines”.

Has nothing to do with Palestinians. The Philistines were Greek Sea people not Arabs.

A lot of Palestinians are descended from Jewish farmers who didn't leave after the destruction of the temple. DNA proves that. Look at the Akkadian Empire..and language 3000. BC to 100 AD. Look at Jewish roots among the Syrian Canaanites.

You’re stuck on stupid. Palestine was named for Philistines.

“While the Philistines themselves disappeared in the second half of the first millennium BCE, their name came to be used as the basis for defining the geographic region known as Palestine.”
