PA Governor-Elect Josh Shapiro Vows to Crackdown on Fracking and Energy Sector in State – Affecting Thousands of PA Jobs (VIDEO)

Governor-elect Josh Shapiro announced he is ready to restrict fracking and energy development in Pennsylvania following his win on Tuesday.

According to Jeff Flock on FOX Business Network, Shapiro is going to crack down on the state’s vibrant energy sector.

As Attorney General in the state, Shapiro investigated fracking companies in the state which resulted in charges against a couple of drilling companies.

Shapiro now says he supports the recommendations from the state’s investigation that includes:

** Expand “no-drill” permits making if more difficult to produce natural gas
** Disclose fracking chemicals so companies can be targeted with lawsuits
** Regulate smaller oil and gas pipeline

According to Jeff Flock there are 500,000 jobs in Pennsylvania linked to the oil sector producing $800 billion to the economy. (That number seems a high)

The U.S. fracking revolution has caused natural gas prices to drop 47 percent compared to what the price would have been prior to the fracking revolution in 2013.

A 2020 study found that a fracking ban would increase annual household energy costs by over $600 per year.

Good. PA deserves to freeze this winter along with much of the rest of this country.

My four cords of wood says I'll be fine. ;)

We had an election this week, and the people in the Commonwealth decided to destroy the energy sector and have higher gas prices.

So we'll have it, as well as the rest of the Democrat platform of grooming kids to become she-males and kid gloves treatment of criminals.

PA is gonna be hurting in a few years if they keep rigging elections for woke green religious zealots like that asshole and Fetterman.

PA can join CT this winter.

Maybe the concern is the by-product of fracking, as in the wastewater storage and it's affect on potable water resources.

The phony Climate Change Cultists pretend that they never use any fossil fuel.
People are going to suffer because of these crazy environmental extremists.
Ridicule is a great tool to use against them.

But...but...but...Senator Elect Fetterman SUPPORTS fracking! At least he thought he did once.

Shapiro is a self-aggrandizing jag-off. Fracking is here to stay, and it is necessary, and it will continue. As Governor, he has every right and obligation to enforce any environmental laws that are threatened by the process of fracking, and to investigate the claims of those who claim to be harmed by it.

But one MUST note that most of the claims of harm are spawned by TORT LAWYERS who are hoping to profit by convincing gullible juries of made-up harms to homeowners...most of whom are just pissed off that their neighbors are getting license fees and they are not.

Enforce the laws. That's it. Keep your fucking grandstanding to Leftist party events.

Courage on 'climate change' issues is found after an election when the politician is safely seated.

dont worry dems ! Fetterman will protect fracking in PA ! :doubt:

Libs think that the secret to alternative forms of energy is electricity.

They forget that electricity has to be generated, and that means burning fuel. My deceased great uncle worked for an electric utility for years, the plant he worked at had a constant stream of rail cars full of coal.

The Renewable Heavy Industry Economy is unsustainable without government dictating, mandating, ruling, regulating, and passing laws that destroys fossil fuels.

$100 trillion is what the want to spend. People kill for that kind of money.
