The title for your thread is basically inaccurate. One million people are not going to become uninsured. According to Bloomberg who is referenced in your link, "At least 1.4 million people in 32 states will lose the Obamacare plan they have now, according to state officials." That does not mean they will be uninsured. The vast majority will just change to replacement plans or select a different provider.

And until they do change over to a new insurer THEY WILL BE WITHOUT INSURANCE, dude!

Americans were told that the Affordable Care Act was the health reform law that would finally insure everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, preexisting conditions or other factors. But like so much we were promised about Obamacare, that fundamental principle of the law is turning out to be a lie as well.

Clinton has consistently said, including during the Oct. 9 debate, that she wants to protect Obamacare from being repealed by the Republicans. She does not support single payer and never has. Her healthcare plan makes healthcare more affordable by adding a $5,000 tax credit to cover most of the deductible, subsidies for upper middle class tax payers, and a state option. This is a fairly minor change to the law and is very doable. Trump's plan to repeal and replace Obamacare is a huge change that is simply not doable. There is little real support among republicans or democrats to spend years fighting over a new health care plan and a transition plan. It took 2 years for Democrats to pass Obamacare and 5 years to implement it and that was with democrat control of congress and the presidency and healthcare reform as the top priority, none of which exist today. Republicans in congress would have to be out of their minds to embark on replacing Obamacare.

Their problem is they don't want to replace it with a new healthcare plan because that would be one huge fight. It cost the Democrats control of Congress and it would be just as devastating for Republicans. In fact, it would be worst because Republicans would have to find a way in the new plan to cover over 20 million people that have insurance now due to Obamacare plus find a way to keep other features of Obamacare such as the elimination of preexisting conditions while cutting premiums.

I expect Hillary will introduce legislation to increase the subsidies and provide a tax credit to reduce the impact of the large deductibles and Republicans will continue to pass meaningless bills to repeal Obamacare.
