He just gets better all the time. John Foster did his 9th and 10th Opry performances this weekend. Right here is John's salute to Clint Black.
God bless you and John and Clint always!!!

P.S. The first song that John covered was a song from Clint that I never would've expected to hear because it wasn't one of his #1 songs. I wasn't complaining though, especially when I saw John's smile at the beginning of the song.
It's been two years now since cancer took Toby Keith from us. Since Toby never wrote his life story when he was here, to me, a book should be done on him now, but have it be filled with stories about him from those who loved him, not just his family members, but in it could be stories about him from other singers who were friends with him, athletes, service people who are still here, political figures, etc. What a great book it would be!
God bless you and everyone who loves him always!!!
A new song from James Otto named "These Hands" was released today and to me, it couldn't have been more worth the wait. I believe that it is available on all streaming platforms.
I'm here because while I'm not a country fan in general (I'm fine with it in the background) I have an absolute soft spot for one John Denver, who isn't generally a twangy, hillbilly type country (although go listen to "Thank God I'm a country boy" and he gets there a bit).
But his more gentler and anthem songs are what is so good:
Sunshine on my shoulders
Rocky Mountain high
Leaving on a Jet Plane
Calypso
Annies Song
Oddly, I've never loved "country road".. it's a good song, and it seems to be his most famous.. but to me it's not his best.
Anyways... John Denver is legit. He only needs a guitar and a mic, and his voice is every bit as good as the record.
All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go, I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breaking, it's early morn, The taxi's waiting, he's blowin' his horn Already I'm so lonesome I could die
