You can live in America where we are generally free. But you could also be arrested for some alleged crime. And pending trial you might be held in jail.

This is not acceptable in western europe. Its just a tactic to eliminate thee gay community.
Should the EU kick them out ? Its a big step. More useful would be stopping EU funding for Hungary.
Its a poor country anyway and can ill afford that.
There are signs that the Hungarians are growing tired of the nazi Orban.
If they want to enjoy the fruits of liberal democracy they need to become a liberal democracy.
This will be coming to the US soon as trump dismantles the structures of democracy.

If the LGBTQX+++ activists in Hungary have been as immoral and indefensible in their promoted literature, imagery, curriculum, vulgar entertainment and parade displays, promotion of transgendering, etc. targeted at families/children as they have been here in the USA, then hurray for Hungary. It is great to see such destructive, dangerous 'woke' ideology being thrown out in favor of common sense.

I would strongly approve such laws here in the USA though I our federal government may not have constitutional authority to impose one on the states. We would have to see about that.

Those groups can do whatever they want with consenting adults but leave the kids out of it.

It is not discriminating against the LGBTQX+++ community as those not of that community also should not be allowed any form of grooming of minors. For the most part that has been the case with restrictions of what can be said/shown on radio and TV, ratings for games and movies, anti-obscenity laws for various publications etc. accessible to children as well as laws prohibiting indecent exposure.

Let our kids grow up blissfully innocent of all the explicit sex, vulgarity, profanity, deviance, and obscenities until they are old enough to handle it without it harming them.

So scrap freedom of assembly. We already have anti obscenity laws.

Churches were denied that during Covid, while they allowed riots and protests to occur with no action taken, I seem to have missed your posts criticizing the US government for denying people the right to associate.

Freedom of assembly is fine. Sexually explicit and vulgar public displays and entertainment targeted at grooming children are not fine.

Now the funny thing about EU, they have been known to make things up on the spot... IT is kind of funny that Germans and French can be very pragmatic and just say thin't happening and the rules change... So rules can be more bendable...

This would also include a new relationship with UK on trading... If UK were serious and eat a bit of humble pie(not much), might loose voting rights for a while (only on certain issues, still full player in Defence, Ireland could get more voting as proxy), they are back in effectively.. Ireland and UK BFF (Best Friends Forever) in EU...
