There's a difference between helping your kids and taking care of them and pampering them. I'm a relatively wealthy guy, but everything my 36 year old daughter has she obtained on her own through her own hard work and perseverance. Have I helped her out from time to time? Sure, but that's not pampering. Some years back I loaned her $15K to buy some photo equipment. She paid that loan back in monthly installments, and is now quite established in her chosen field

That's not "pampering". That's "help".

There's not a reason in the world not to leave her everything I've got when I go...
