Personally I think this poll is not being totally accurate. I think most of those 20% do not claim he is a practicing Muslim. They think he simply is a closet Muslim who claims to be a Christian.

Me personally I take him at his word that he is not a Muslim, and would not care if he was if he was up front about it. Though I am sure he would have never been elected if he was in fact a Muslim and honest about it.

Other than the fact that The Washington comPost is unreliable, where did this "1 in 5" crap come from? The correct figure, as I noted by linking the article, is 24% which is much more like 1 in 4.

Sometimes a slip of the tongue is meaningless. Other times it serves to alert the listener that the speaker has attempted to conceal something but it unconsciously found its way out, anyway.

When the President spoke about his Muslim faith, maybe it was a mere meaningless little slip. But, on the other hand, maybe it was a slip of the tongue that revealed what he had tried to conceal. How does one do BOTH of the following things? (A) take him at his word but, then, (B) argue that he's not a Muslim? Obviously, one must decline to take him at his "word" by saying that it WAS just a slip of the tongue with no relevance behind it. Maybe.
