What is it going to take for GOP politicians to realize that they cannot have it both ways?
  • They cannot support Trump and expect to retain the support of folks who find the man fulsomely repugnant.
  • They cannot reject Trump and expect to retain the support of Trumpeteers.
  • They cannot take a position and take it's opposite.
  • They cannot say they didn't do something when empirical evidences shows one did do it.
  • They cannot appeal to an extreme segment of the electorate and expect to be supported by most of the moderates.
  • They cannot appeal to the moderates and expect support from the extremists.
Now I present this thread with reference to the GOP, and there's a reason for that: the Democrat party isn't apparently imploding at the hands of its nominee for President.

Now Trump's gambit is pretty straightforward:
  1. Get folks "fired up" enough about him and they will turn out to vote in vast enough numbers for him to win the election, and
  2. Drive Democrats and others to a level of despondency that they don't show up at the polls to vote for his opponents.
That strategy comes down to one basic thing: numbers. Therein lies the problem. Data from the Pew Research Center shows independents are now the biggest partisan group in the United States. The percentage of people self-identifying as independent was 39% in 2014. The number for Democrats is 32% and for Republicans it is 23%. There simply aren't enough Republicans.

Democrats support Islam, the religion that executes gays and puts women in burkas...

Questions?

I have two questions. Who told you that crap? Have you had a head injury that would leave your judgement so impaired till you actually believe that crap?

Importing the Third World is working wonders for the DNC, no doubt about it.

Not to mention the complete corruption of the media and pop culture.

It is funny how often the dems get to have their cake and eat it too. Because no one calls them on their bullshit.

Like ridiculing and marginalizing Christians, and yet getting the support of tons of churches and Christians voters.
