for the Chinese leadership : you need to come up with a realistic and peaceful transition plan for re-unification of Taiwan with your mainland.

Right now, we're in an uncomfortable impasse : Chinese leaders keep repeating on a regular basis that re-unification by force is an option for them, while also being open to peaceful re-unification.

But the wider world, which Chinese leaders hope to be respected by, will not tolerate a re-unification by force.

Therefore, i hereby propose that the Chinese leadership, along with any contacts in the Taiwanese government (for lack of a more diplomatic description), start to work immediately on a series of peaceful re-unification plans.

If this process can take place in the open, that would be even better.

Formosa and not Taiwan, President Xi isn't a happy camper.

While it is not new to call on "world leaders" to act reasonably and rationally, it is always welcome.
The truth is that for so many countries their major challenge to security is their own government. The CCP is the major enemy of the Chinese people, just as for America the most fearsome foe is the duopoly that has taken power over the period of recent decades (although, it must be admitted, the CCP has far outstripped previous examples of ruthlessness). Expecting these power-mad entities to do anything other than maintain their raw power is, unfortunately, unrealistic.

The Gulf of Tonkin is what the CCP is after for the boatloads of crude oil thus the CCP is barricading the South China Sea.

You make a wrong assumption

Taiwan does not have to be part of mainland china no matter how much the inhuman monsters within the CCP want it to be so

It appears that the Taiwanese people want independence and its time for the communists to peacefully accept that

^ This. No one should ever allow China to take their country. Anyone that gives up their country to China probably didnt deserve it in the first place.

You're all ignoring the minor wars that got Taiwan under it's current leadership.
For a while, Taiwan even had the desire to invade mainland China and impose their way of life upon all of them.

only problem is : THEY WON'T.

on forums outside the US and EU, i get plenty of views by Chinese people that totally support "re-unification by force"..

do you have ANY idea how many of our own soldiers' lives we would be putting at stake if we have to repel that?
or (God forbid!) have to go to (partial) nuclear war over it?

best we foster a peaceful re-unification strategy, if you ask *me*.
others are entitled to hold on to their own opinions, of course.

Taiwan don't want anything to do with China making peaceful re-unification a pipe dream What don't you understand about Communism?

Yea, the democrats have the same problem with the red states.

So when you come up with a plan for communists to take over completely the world in a peaceful manner, I reckon that will be what you would call nirvana.

Yeah, just like the "peaceful" reunification with Hong Cong.

You are no peacefan; you are an apologist for the CCP. The CCP was installed by Stalin you idiot!!! The KMT was the last legitimate Gov of China and now they are in Taiwan. But that is now History; one you are not familiar with.

Communist China is the craftiest enemy that America has ever faced

The Axis powers in WWII and the Soviets post war were amateurs by comparison to the CCP

Yes the foreign forums are filled with chinese members of the 50-Cent Army

And US forums like this one are flooded with White Monkeys shilling for Xi

Or for peace at any price

Taiwan is just a stepping stone

Ultimately china wants to rule the world

Without force if possible

But with force when they are strong enough

The only question is where do we draw the line?
