On Jan 6, did Congress/ Mike Pence have the authority to overrule the States Electoral Votes?

Does a Congress or the Vice President have the authority to overturn States EVs?

LOL. Yes, I know. Orange man bad.
What do you think would have happened to this country had Pence gone along with Trump's plan to hand him the keys to the White House and had the Supreme Court upheld that...?

I find it interesting that throughout the Trump presidency his supporters refused to believe anything unless Trump himself said so. Now they somehow believe that in no way did Trump incite or otherwise inspire anything having to do with 1/6.
Their capacity for dissonance is remarkable.
It's whatever is convenient for the cult.

Stop the Steal

That was the objective of the mob storming the Capitol.

The percentage of 'Yes' votes is much lower than I would have expected considering all of the noise made by them here

That was part of Trumps plan to steal the election

Have his loyal Vice President declare EVs invalid and then have his loyal self appointed Supreme Court affirm that a Vice President can do it

And then to send his cult to the Capitol to apply pressure on Pence to do his bidding.

And then when they stormed the Capitol, sit back and do nothing for 3 hours until he finally thanked them and politely asked them to go home.

“We love you!”

Basement Joe and Kamel-Toe would have been kept out of the White House.

I felt that was a major part of the reason for confirming A. Barrett before Gingsberg had even been laid to rest yet.

You're deranged if you think that's all that would have happened.
Trump would have finished more of the border wall. The Muslim ban that protects Americans would have remained in place. We'd be closer to herd immunity and solving the Covid problem.

There wouldn't have been a country left had he pulled that off, ya dumbfuck. Had he accomplished his plan, he would have been the first president since Hitler to be appointed president by his own political party, and not the voting population, after losing a presidential election. America would never have stood for that.

Thanks for demonstrating just how fucked in the head you Trump cultists really are. Wasn't necessary as I already knew that, but thanks just the same.

I liken Trumps actions to that of a white woman in the 1950s who lies and claims she was raped by a black man and then stands by as an angry mob lynched the black man
YOU liken? Trump has the first amendment right to say the election was stolen. People lie all the time. In almost all cases, including this one, lying is not illegal.

That's the way it always is with you guys. Woulda coulda shoulda. Trump might do this, Trump wants to do that, Trump could have done this.

Does that white woman have a right to lie and say a black man raped her and tell an angry mob to do something about it?

That is what Trump did
