Oklahomans Just Embarrassed Trump a Second Time

My IQ is totally insufficient to understand how this effects Trump one way or another. I do get many things. I'll even share some with my very anti-Trump wife. On this one though I'm not putting down my coffee and rushing out of the den screaming, "Honey, honey! Did you hear what Oklahoma just did?"

Trump had 21 million viewers WOW
View are not votes..just sayin'--and it sounds like Oklahoma voters might be tired of DJT.
or it might be that of everything going on in Oklahoma, the press chose to highlight and report on ONLY that which THEY think embarrasses him.

Good point the media does work for the dnc

Yes well one can't find any good news for tramp. He is full of bad news, and he is bad news.
Did you see the jobs numbers!? Incredible there’s gonna be a press conference at 9:30 AM Trump is going to tell us more about these great job numbers
Everyone opened up for the summer and many folks went back to work. Now, many places are closing back up and folks are losing jobs again.
Art of the come back

Last week, the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court (again) to throw out the Affordable Care Act.
What?
Trump is asking the Supreme Court to void and cancel the ACA. No more coverage for preexisting conditions. Anyone who has ever tested positive for COVID-19 will become ineligible for insurance coverage. Insurance companies will save a trillion dollars.

The problem is, there is NO REASON for them to close back up. The number of cases were the number of cases before the fear mongers said, Oh no! More cases.

The death toll is not going up because this virus is just not that lethal.

The government has become addicted to the sheep who will follow what they order, blindly.

Now that..is a cogent point. But it's a fight that Trump picked...he thought he could ride the tiger...in the end..the media has been dining on him for years now...

Trump had 6.000 attend his rally as opposed to Bidens rally in the basement filled with 7 rats.

And tramp had 6000 idiots.
And then you have,

Not really, the media has lost far more credibility. They rate lower than the Congress anymore and the truth is, a majority of people don't trust them to tell the truth on any subject.

Usually..MSM gets the facts correct..it's the commentary..and slant that they put to the facts...that's manipulative..and always has been..from Hearst til now. But if you have the intellectual acuity to take the facts..crosscheck them..and come to your own conclusions..the MSM still has a place. Sadly, no matter the political point on the scale people are at..they are lazy..and tend to swallow whole the garbage served.

A lot of the distrust in media is manufactured by those who wish to discredit the source and thus hide their misdeeds and motivations. The entire 'Fake News' phenomenon is all about this.

Shame really..because with the internet..one can get to the heart of most issues..if they are willing to drop the preconceptions and let loose of their confirmation bias'.

Actually, the mistrust of the media has been generated from the media itself. Claims of journalism only later to be unearthed as agendas that favor one political party (always just the one party) and the truth reveals that they added just enough facts to make claims of, "See, we know the facts". The problem begins when people actually do start doing some research and discover that the facts have been manipulated and tainted with emotional pleas coupled with a willingness to destroy -- absolutely destroy -- anyone who points out the inconsistencies and wrongdoing by a self-proclaimed institution of free speech.

The media needs to be reduced to reciting the Who, What, Where, Why, and How and then go off the air. Their articles should be scrutinized and anything that does not just report the facts, but lends an air of opinion, should be blatantly labeled as "Opinion only".

Last week, the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court (again) to throw out the Affordable Care Act.
What?

You didn't know this?

There has been a case brought before the federal courts by many red states demanding that Obamacare is unconstitutional because the mandate is gone.

The two courts it's been to thus far have ruled it's unconstitutional and the whole thing should be thrown out.

It's before the Supreme Court now. trump has filed a brief with the court to ask the court to rule it unconstitutional and throw the whole thing out. He first asked the court to take the case AFTER the 2020 election and they agreed. It's being heard now but we won't get the ruling until AFTER the election.

Convenient isn't it? trump asks the court to rule the whole thing unconstitutional, gets them to rule it's unconstitutional AFTER the election so if he's reelected he won't face any consequences for his actions of getting it ruled unconstitutional.

Yes, trump is a slime ball.

Whassup in Okie town? How can it be..that people in Oklahoma want the ACA....just as long as you don't call it ObamaCare...too funny!~

For the second time in two weeks, Oklahomans have made President Donald Trump look bad. First there was the sparsely attended Tulsa rally. Now Sooner State voters have opted to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.
There’s an immediate, narrow problem for the White House, and a broader, more strategic one. In the short term, the very tight “yes” vote imperils a plan to turn Medicaid funding into a block grant from the federal government to states, using Oklahoma as a pilot.
In a deeper sense, though, the vote is a warning sign for Trump, because it shows how he’s at odds with even many conservative voters on health care. Last week, the Trump administration asked the Supreme Court (again) to throw out the Affordable Care Act. Meanwhile, voters in a state so red that the president chose it for his big comeback rally have voted to adopt an expansion of coverage under the law—the fifth time voters in a Republican-governed state have done so, and the fourth in the past two years.

It’s not entirely shocking that amid a pandemic and a massive unemployment crisis, voters would rather have more health coverage than less. And while Obamacare remains unpopular among conservative voters—three-quarters of Republicans had an unfavorable view of the law in the Kaiser Family Foundation’s most recent tracking poll—the actual components of the law, especially requiring insurers to cover people with preexisting conditions, have always been popular.
I Would venture to say that there was some tampering going on. this was sold to Republicans, not Democrats.

I agree that, other than the op-ed page--the media should more factual.

You are incorrect in your 'one party only' statement...FOX is MSM..so is Gateway Pundit.

No matter..here is the real deal...a person is responsible for what they know and believe..not the the media. If you read Alex Jones, Gateway Pundit and watch Fox..without any balance..you are just as much a fool as the guy who watches CNN and MSNBC.

Back to Trump...do you really think that if he had dropped the twitter...closed himself off from the press...stated 'no comment' frequently--took no questions and starved the press for info...they would still be in such a frenzy? I don't. Trump's inability to STFU will be his downfall..and that...is not the fault of the MSM.

Hell, half or more of them don't even realize that Obamacare and the ACA are two names for the same program.

I agree that it is the individual who is responsible for what they know and believe, just as I believe that is is the individual who is responsible for their own life and welfare, not the government nor the media.

However, given that 80% of the country believes without critical thought, everything that the media tells them -- Including Fox News, which is far more leftwing than right -- and that gives them enormous power, even more than the government.

If the media had taken Trump's tweets, make a jab at them, and then gone on to report (without spin) the events of the day, do you think that Trump would suffer the lower ratings he does?

It is an agenda by partisan left-wing journalists, exercising their power on behalf of the Democrat party.

It cannot be denied. Well it can, but it wouldn't be a credible denial.

You know we, the people, cover 90% of the costs, right, through federal taxing.
