“The Oklahoma Senate on Thursday passed a bill that would make it a felony to perform an abortion in the state, and if signed by Gov. Mary Fallin (R) would put it at odds with federal law.”

It’s at odds with the Constitution as well, which is why it will be struck down as indeed un-Constitutional, and that ruling will be upheld on appeal, should it even reach that stage.

In fact, in April of 2012 the Oklahoma Supreme Court struck down that state’s ‘personhood’ amendment to the state constitution as un-Constitutional, a violation of a woman’s right to privacy.

And this is likely all rightwing political theater, where even if signed into law, no doctor or his patient would be subject to prosecution, as was the case before Roe.
