Oklahoma Passes Bill Banning ALL Abortions - No Rape Exceptions - 10 years in Prison for Performing one

The legislation bans all abortions except in the case of medical emergencies, and makes performing an abortion a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

Women in Oklahoma must now keep their rape baby as an eternal reminder of what happened to them - the only exception is a medical emergency.

Thoughts?!
what a LIE

you act like you don't recall there's such a thing as ADOPTION. But it is not an act on your part bc no one over the age of 15 could forget or not know such a thing.

you are just like all dims

DISHONEST/Liar/Deceiver/Politics-first

Sure there is… The filthy whore could just runoff to a neighboring state to kill the baby
not all women who "want" an abortion are filthy whores... It really is difficult to carry a child you do not "want" (say bc the relationship is over and the other person has started another relationship w/ someone else... THAT is hard to deal with. It is also very dificult to give up a child for adoption, a child she has carried 9 months...

It does conservatives a great disservice to be this judgmental and condemning.. we pro life people love both mother and child... both are human, created in God's image

This bill / law will not survive.

Their law is the same if the girl is raped and most rapists are caught. This figure it's just women and little girls, and they've determined they cannot decide what is done with their bodies anyway.
As far I’m concerned if libs are not willing to execute a man who is guilty of rape dont take it out on an innocent child

well said

hypocrisy is their game... no shame bc no conscience

So you think rape is now legal in Oklahoma?
Never has been, but often not caught. Now if the girl gets knocked, she has to keep it. You want to pass down your seed, but nobody will have you go to Oklahoma. You might get 6 years if you are even caught, but you will be in the next gene pool.

I actually have a very tongue in cheek view of the whole thing as I can't get pregnant from birth to the end of life. Do I think the state or any level of government should be in charge of the question? Hell no. Do I think women should be using it for birth control? Hell no. This is 2022. They should be using birth control for birth control, be it pills, shots, implants, IUDs or if they permanently do no wish to have kids, surgery. If young and raped, an immediate application of the morning after pill. We planned our pregnancies and she handled the BC until we had all the kids, we planned to have, then I got myself fixed.

An unplanned pregnancy can fk up your life and/or the lives of those around you. That is a fact. If you aren't ready for the commitment, you will probably screw it up. You can make some girl carry a baby to term, but you can't make her a good mother. We see people being arrested every day that should never have been born, either by planning or stopping the process. Some turn out so twisted by upbringing, we end up having to abort them through capitol punishment. No sanctity of human life issue there. One thing is certain, a teen or preteen pregnancy is no gift from God, but of somebody of whom God was the last thing on their little mind.

That's OK, though. You guys go ahead and crusade for and against. I'll do my part. I won't make anybody pregnant. So, rave on, folks.

Why do you feel such a need to lie? If you had a valid argument it wouldn't be necessary.

Women in OK are still free to put babies up for adoption or if they so choose to leave the state to seek abortions.

Any state making it a crime to do so is going to get smacked down hard and fast by the federal courts.

It seems the penalty for rape there is 1 - 15 years. First offense would be much less time than performing an abortion.
Most are not caught or known, or prosecuted. 1-15 is very rarely 15. If they want to go strict on abortion, there ought to be morning after pills in vending machines, cheap.

So if you want to father a kid, whether the woman wants one or not, but you want to pass your genes along, head for Oklahoma. You can have your way in the "Sooner" state and nothing she can do about it.
I'm pretty sure rapists rarely know when a woman is ovulating and considering the penalties for rape in Oklahoma your entire premise is utterly retarded.

Personally I think anyone convicted of a violent, premeditated rape should be castrated, have their thumbs removed, their crimes tattooed on their foreheads and face an automatic death penalty for covering them up.

Then just release them into the public and let nature take it's course.

That might have been true at one time but with DNA technology it's easy to catch rapists today.

Oklahoma also has very user friendly firearms and self defense laws which would make that an even worse idea.

I can understand the castration thing. The tattoo thing would be a nice touch. What is with the removing the thumbs removal thing? That is not what he stuck in the girl or woman.

Without thumbs it becomes incredibly difficult to use weapons or physical force against women and children.

She doesent have to have sex with you

I'm scratching my head over this weird new Democrat belief that the world is full of eeeevil men desperate to produce children to the point of forcing them on women. Nothing in my experience of men suggests that this "epidemic" exists, or is anything but laughable.

Its just lib’s shallow argument of the moment

Tomorrow it may be something entirely different

Yes, because passing out potentially dangerous medication like bags of M&Ms is a terrific idea that will totally benefit women.

When you leftists abandoned the concept that abortion should be "rare", you also threw out any interest in it being "safe", as well.

Don't bother giving me that crap. It is stupid, for simpletons. Don't you watch TV? Are drug commercial banned where you live. They are all the rage here, all prominently making the possible side effect, many of disturbing, dangerous or deadly, they are on prime time TV. We have all been abused by nutrition ads of what is bad for us today such as salt, sugar, eggs milk, wine, but good for us tomorrow. Look at all the hype for and against Covid vaccines or treatment drugs, such as Ivermectin. Society trusts or doesn't trust average people to make these buying decisions and even urge them to talk to their doctors, code for find a doctor to prescribe it.

I am no fan, or recommender of the procedure. It is none of my business to counsel at large to the women of the world, as I have never had a vagina or a womb, only using them momentarily and on purpose as often as practical and enjoyable. Safety is in the eye of the beholder, like with the other drug, alcohol and elective surgery done daily in this country. I am very safe. It is up to the other individual to look out for their safety, especially on crap they get themselves into, including women.

Lets not forget, women and girls actually die in childbirth every single day in every single country on the planet. It is not without risk. I cannot recommend it, unless you were wanting to have a baby.

Drug commercials? You think paid advertisements are some sort of defense against dangerous treatments and procedures? You actually believe that people are fully informed about a medication sufficient that they don't need medical supervision while using it because they saw a commercial about it?

You can "urge" people to see their doctor all you want, but if you're then selling the medication in question as though it's Tylenol, do you honestly believe they're going to see the doctor? People misuse over-the-counter medication all the time, and in this case we're talking about a medication that could do serious harm to the woman you pretend to be concerned about.

Skipping right over your repulsive misogyny masquerading as high-minded disinterest, I note that other drugs, alcohol, and elective surgery are all highly regulated. Yet you think morning-after contraception should be treated like Nyquil.

Mind you, I have no problem with contraception, nor do I have a problem with morning-after contraception, so long as it's actually used AS contraception (ie. prior to fertilization). My objection here is specifically to the idea that it should be available and used without doctor supervision. That is NOT in the best interests of a woman's safety. Women with a number of conditions should not use morning-after contraception: women with a history of blood clots, venous inflammation, liver problems, heavy smokers. A doctor knows this; are you really telling me that all women know this, just because they "saw a commercial"?

After I was diagnosed with heart failure, I told my doctor about a pain I had (I forget what it was now) and explained that I always use Aleve because it's a miracle drug for me. She strongly advised against it. I never even thought of it before taking the mediation. How was I to know? Well, if you have good enough eyes to read the tiny lettering on the bottle, it tells you to ask your doctor before using their product if you have heart problems.

So the responsibility actually lies with the user of any product, but again, how many of us read all the crap about any medication we take? How many of us (in pain) would wait for our doctor to get back to us after a weekend or the next week day?

Believe it or not, I was also told to stay away from orange juice (which I loved) because my potassium levels were high on my blood test. Of course there is no warning on orange juice cartons to ask your doctor before drinking the stuff.

Buy a PDR or look it up online. That ship has sailed. There is a drug commercial going in the background right now. It is the world in which we live. So now you want girls or women to wait and talk to a doctor before getting the "morning after" pill. It is rare for me to make an appointment and get it the same day? Average for me is 3 days plus, and that is in a small town/city private clinic, that I have a long personal relationship with, even singing in the choir with the principal MD. Some appointments take people 2-3 weeks or more, pretty much negating the whole "morning after" idea. In a big city, that dog won't hunt.
