Some do, primarily anarchists who like the term libertarian. I don't object to anarchists calling themselves libertarians except for the confusion it creates. If you call yourselves anarchists to anyone smarter than RW, we right away know what your views are. When you call yourselves "libertarian," then you get Q&A until finally we say oh, you're an anarchist. So why not just say you're an anarchist?

For those specific things though, most of us don't want them to be private. Private doesn't work without competition. You can't have competing roads and competing police. You can't have competing recognition of property rights or management of limited resources. You can't have competing militaries. Without marketplace dynamics, you get utility companies and the post office
