Like a dog chasing a car, not knowing what to do after he caught it

Matt has been chasing McCarthy for nine months
Now that he kicked him out, what does he do next ?

Took 15 tries to approve McCarthy. He only got the job by conceding his power to MAGA

What Speaker is going to accept the position under the same terms that McCarthy did?

Democrats ceded control to Progressive Socialist Communists many many decades ago until they control most of the mechanisms of the nation now.

The country needs a speaker who gets things done.

Not a child who throws a tantrum whenever they don’t get exactly what they want.

Indeed...

McCarthy accepted the terms, but didn't follow through with them. Not one single issue spending bill. Not any substantial spending cuts. No term limit bill.
It's a clusterfuck in the GOP atm. But the next speaker, hopefully will have some backbone.
Personally I think Gaetz and some of the others, while being the majority, would like to have a speaker that acts like they're in the majority. And stop being so weak.

Honestly, for the last several decades, the GOP hasn't had the balls to do much more than cave to the left. Especially during Trump's 4 years.

Hell, Trump didn't even have a spine. He was constantly caving to Pelosi.

You apparently don't know the makeup of the House GOP.
Roughly speaking 8 radical fiscal conservatives (that I support)
About 20 members who won seats in districts Biden won, so they can't go too far right and still keep their seat, especially if Trump stays 10-points ahead of Joe Biden...and the other 190 or so of mainstream Republicans who can't get a 218 majority without BOTH ends of the House, or a bi-partisan coalition of a few moderate democrats, not very likely. Democrats always vote as a block, Republicans don't.

If the House doesn't Impeach Joe Biden, Republicans might as well all become independents.

Republicans cave in because they don’t have the votes

They have a long wish list of what they want, but the fact that you can’t force your agenda when you are in a significant minority.

So, they try to force their agenda through refusing to raise the debt limit and shutting down the Government

McCarthy lost his job for stopping them

The gop hasn't marked up the 24 budget for fuck's sake. This was over a CR ... a SINGLE BILL.

And the House has failed to pass a regular order budget since 1996. These clowns can't pass a truck on an interstate.

btw, I'd be all for a 24 budget that cut spending even 2%, but they can't pass even that without raising taxes. It's called .... representative democracy.

Boehner and Ryan saw this coming. That's why they bailed.
