OK, In the Event of A Power Outage, How are Millions of People Going to Charge their EVs?

I saw where the power was lost in a large part of AL last night and is still out.....What of wide-spread power outages due to ice storms, tornados, hurricanes, brown-outs when power can be lost/curtailed for weeks? Where's you EV gawd then?

Seems to me EV should stand for Extremely Vulnerable.

The well informed told the idiots of this gasless car they will make you get this and then cause a situtation where they will be useless.
We told you what it mean to say build back better.

and now that we are moving into a 3rd world nation we will have constant black outs CONTROLLED black out and brown outs. LET THAT SINK in morons this is not the free LIBERAL LEFTIST nation you think it will be bahhaha your going to live worse than they did in the concentration camps.

We told you they lie to you to gear the population in the direction they want so that TRILLIONS can be made off the back of idiots who fall for this green earth bs. It’s corporate bs forcing compliance makes them money.

Your home has to comply, your appliances have to comply which makes everyone buy all these little parts and pieces making money in those areas it’s a ripple effect ppl wake the hell up.

Perfect example even cold weather makes these things fail lol

Not necessarily, there was a E2 tornado that hit in NOtVA years ago where power was not restored for two weeks in one area, a few miles away everything was as normal.

Guess what?
EVs are capable of moving. That is why they call them vehicles

If a tornado knocks out power in your area, you drive to an area that has operable charging stations

Doesn't sound like a widespread power outage to me. I am guessing in NoVa, those people could go a few miles away to a charging station. They appear to have one or two

EV.webp

Let me see... Gas cans of storage... OR a hand pump to get it from the tank to my tank.. I wanna see you do that with your EV...

Wait a minute…
You have to plan ahead to have gas cans ready to fill your tank
Few people have more than a five gallon can

The same planning ahead that an EV user will do to fully charge your vehicle when a major storm is predicted

In the event of a power outage...

How are people going to pump gas for their vehicles?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I can buy a genrac. run it off propane

Got a spare tank in your back yard?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Um, you do know generators work to power gas pumps.

Good point

But what will happen to gas stations when 25 percent of vehicles on the road are electric?

They will add EV charging stations

The same generators will keep the charging stations alive

I'm no luddite so it seems to me that Hybrid gas/electric would be the way to go instead of strictly EV from a reliability of transport standpoint....I wonder why you don't hear too much about that these days?

That way you could tool around town on short trips on electric and also have gas dependability otherwise. If memory serves they can be charged on a regular 120V circuit and on some models the car's braking system charges them.

Ok but during a wide spread power outage where you gonna go? The stores will be closed too.

I suppose you can do a solar charger and get some emergency volts. They make solar powered battery maintainers. They would just need to scale that up.

It take 7KW for several hours to charge an EV. That is a pretty big generator and a few gallons of gas. Or one hellva big solar array under maximum sunshine conditions.

7kw is about the size of a lawn mower.

Why the conservative hatred for electric vehicles?

Well, like I said, everything would be closed anyway. You really wouldn't need to fully charge unless you were sitting on empty and needed to evacuate the radiation fall out area fast.

Was that a serious question asking where are you going to go during a power outage?
Most smart people will go somewhere

Cool, while you wait 4 hours to charge you're EV I will have filled my tank on my way to Cancun...

If you can understand the system you can understand why shit that would save money, or have endless possibilities get snagged up by gov. Pricks because if they can not get a hunk of money off the top, use the tax excuse to charge people more moeny while all being to stupid to realize they either already paid into that tax it just has another name, or they just can’t understand the system.

Another example the Tesla bs— not the car but the man he had a way to provide “free” elec. to ppl the greedy and leftist takes everything it touches and turns it to shit.

We can run cars on hydrogyen you think that would be put out there oh hell no..

another example YOUR TEETH——— imagine if the dental society had a way to keep those cavities away totally guess who loses money and big money—-

if they can take away cancer — imagine the trillions lost because awwww no pig pharma has nobody’s body left to hack and keep sick no money to be made here……..

they keep you sick, weak, and reliant upon the gov. In ways most can’t even see if ever.

Guess I am a dummy because when a hurricane knocked out our power for several days I made exactly 1 trip with my gas powered car 25 miles total to get ice to pack into the deep freezer to keep the food viable.

Gas stations are one of the first to have power restored. They can be back online days or weeks before residential lines.
