What people don't understand is that as the demand for electricity to charge a growing number of EV increases, the demand on the electrical infrastructure will also increase. Green energy to date has not proven to be a reliable replacement source of energy. It still accounts for only a nearly insignificant amount of global energy use. (Climate Alarmist and Marxist agenda sites claim otherwise, of course)
In places like California we already see brown outs and black outs due to failures in that system.
Anyone who thinks the system will be more reliable when the demand is 1000 times greater is simply shallow minded.
Throw into the mix regional or global conflicts and it gets even worse.
The world is not moving towards greater efficiency and productivity, in fact, it peaked decades ago and is moving backwards especially in western countries where they can't even really compete with Communist countries manufacturing foundation, ie CHINA. What we've become is a world of disposable goods centered on profit and that is not sustainable. The West depends heavily on Chinese goods to maintain it's electrical grid. China will use that against the West in due time.
I see grid failures becoming a daily headache and especially in Blue areas where they worked hardest to limit or completely cut ties to coal and fossil fuels.
EV's greatest impact will not be to save the climate, but rather to undo the grid and bring about systemic lack of electrical service to millions.
No, the future of EVs is not as bright as the overly optimistic climate alarmists would have you believe.
The final impact will be more people forced to riding bicycles and scooters instead of cars. (see 3rd and 4th world transportation)
And so in that respect, maybe EV's will ultimately be "good for the planet"
Now watch the ignorant narcissistic climate alarmists find your suffering.... "funny"
