Besides, having free public healthcare will allow a lot of doctors to establish their own offices.

I just think, at the least, BASIC HUMAN NEEDS healthcare should be free.

Look at pretty much everything else run by the government, and that should answer your question, not to mention the increase of taxes, lack of innovation because there is no competition, and delays in services because of increased demand.

The problem is there is no such thing as “free”. Someone always has to pay. Doctors have to be paid. Staff have to be paid. Expenses have to be paid. So who pays for “free” care?… the taxpayers.

I already pay enough money for my and my wife’s healthcare. I have NO interest in paying for the care of people I don’t know add I don’t care about. I know I do it currently, and that’s why I’m against Medicare and Medicaid.

Excellent idea ... I have always said an itemized list of government programs should be filed with taxes ...
Where the taxpayer can check a box by each program they desire, indicating exactly where they want all of their tax dollars going.

I wouldn't be checking single payer healthcare ... And a whole lot of other programs.
