Oh look, more anti-free speech from Vance.

And yet Vance attacked the UK for prosecuting people for that.

Vance shouldn't be saying what he's saying. It's not his job to say this. If he thinks this, then fine, he can think whatever, he can tell his wife in PRIVATE whatever he likes. But in PUBLIC he is not an individual citizen, he's a government worker.
As he should have. People are being arrested over there for saying they don’t want all the illegal immigrants. And it’s the government arresting them. You seem to need a free speech refresher course.

"Report those who celebrate Charlie Kirk death to employers, Vance says"

Yep, Vance wants to stop people saying negative things about Charlie Kirk.

""Call them out, and hell, call their employer," Vance said as he guest-hosted an episode of the Charlie Kirk Show. "We don't believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility.""

Apparently they believe in "civility" which is news to me.

This from a guy who called out the UK on freedom of speech.

JD Vance calls out UK’s ‘modern dystopia’ amid ‘sad decline’ in freedom of speech

Essentially the right want to control speech if they don't like it, and make it free if they do. Kind of fascist to me.
celebrating a terrorist assassination is not the same as disagreeing with someones political views ..

There’s a very active doxxing campaign already in full force amongst the right. They’re having a great time.

A great, grand time indeed.

And the slimy little kokksukkers doing the celebrating are finding themselves on the Unemployment Line.

Good.

Bag as many of the little wankers as possible while the iron is hot.

There’s a very active doxxing campaign already in full force amongst the right. They’re having a great time.

I'll ask you the same question I asked fridge:

Why are you surprised? The left engaged in prolific doxxing beforehand. So why do you feel you're entitled to outrage when the left's tactics are being used against it?

It is human nature to reciprocate. It takes logic and introspection not to.

"If you prick us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us, do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?"

--William Shakespeare

Now that you mention it... yes.. the Democrats ARE good teachers when it comes to Doxing, aren't they? :abgg2q.jpg:
It’s actually a good political lesson. The socialists started the memes, the right perfected it and the left can no longer compete. The left came up with cancel culture, the right perfected it. What ever the basic idea the left comes up with they can’t advance it. It’s only when the right gets involved it is brought to the front.

The problem with people like this is they're only interested in their own things.

They talk up freedom, but then want to ban gay marriage.

Now it just seems like they're going for full out control of the country, control to do as they want. They claim to like "civility" but there's nothing "civil" about what they're doing.
And it’s civil to call Republicans fascists? Nazis? Hitler?

Yes? That's free speech. He's also the 2nd most powerful man on Earth. His words carry weight.

Ah, but now you're telling him what he should and shouldn't say.

This defeats the premise of your thread.

Not free speech at all. He's the VP, what he says represents the Presidency.

No, it doesn't defeat the premise of my thread. A Presidency should act in a certain way, Trump and Vance do not act in that way, they're dangerous, they say whatever they like without giving a damn about the consequences of their actions.

There's a huge difference between a VP telling people to fire people for saying something, than there is for people actually firing people for saying things that are bad.

If you don't want to see that, then that's your problem, when the US falls apart, don't blame me.

We never used government threats to suppress speech.

That’s all you guys.
Yes you did, the government was forcing social media to toe the line on Covid and other topics under Biden. So **** off with that shit.

The problem is that the right's version of "freedom of speech" when it comes to being racist, sexist etc, means no accoutability.

Vance attacked the UK

"“I believe that dismissing people, dismissing their concerns or worse yet, shutting down media, shutting down elections or shutting people out of the political process protects nothing. In fact, it is the most surefire way to destroy democracy,” he said."

This is what he says he "believes", now all of a sudden he "believes" the exact opposite.

This is hypocrisy and it's designed to get what the right want. They are for total freedom of speech when it comes to racism, and they're against it when it comes to people talking about the death of Charlie Kirk.
