1. MAGA doesn't like the "fascist" comparisons -- regardless of the screamingly obvious parallels -- so they do what they always do: They aggressively warp the definition of the word to be able (they think) to point the finger at the other guy. We see it here, daily.

There is no communicating with dishonesty like that, because it changes its shape to fit the moment. Most of them don't even know what many of the words they throw around actually mean to begin with. They just think the words make them look educated.

You mentioned free speech and the UK. In the US the 1st Amendment is the guideline and that states that the Government can not pass laws that limit speech. In the UK the Government is limiting speech.

Struggling to see what your point is.

A) In the US they can pass laws that limit free speech. Treason laws, for example.

B) The 1st Amendment isn't relevant in the US. The UK govt sees the limits of free speech different to the US.

Riots in the US were very damaging, a lot of it happened because they didn't say "you're inciting violence, that's illegal and not protected by free speech".
