So it was part of war against the death-ministry Gaza regime (Hamas) stealing food from its people.

First publication: A mistake of a fraction of a second - the investigation of the killing of the volunteers in Gaza.

The investigation carried out by the Chief of Staff, the commander of the Southern Command and the coordinator of the government's operations in the territories following the incident, which took place in the Southern Command, provided at least one lesson that was quickly implemented: the establishment of a joint Operations-Room of the Israel Defense Forces and the fire center in the Southern Command, with the aim of preventing such events once again.

In Gaza this week, attention was focused on the attack on the vehicles of volunteers of the World Central Kitchen Aid Organization, WCK, on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. Since the attack, the army has been investigating the incident, trying to understand what happened there and how to draw lessons from the attack...

The operation order made it clear that the IDF is instructed to thwart an attempt by Hamas terrorists to take over the aid trucks that entered Gaza. The IDF, by the way, received this instruction from the political-security cabinet at the beginning of the war, somewhere on October 18, 2023, following heavy pressure from the United States . The directive made it clear that the humanitarian aid to Gaza will continue "as long as the supplies do not reach Hamas", and that any attempt by the terrorist organization to take over the aid will be thwarted.

This is the basis for this week's action, similar to other actions in recent times - which, by the way, did not really succeed in thwarting Hamas' takeover of humanitarian aid. According to the testimonies of aircraft operators, the aid trucks were spotted upon entering Gaza, and some Hamas militants ran towards them. In the past, Hamas easily took control of such trucks, sometimes while driving.

According to aircraft operators who spoke with M.R., this is a very complex event, which takes place in a particularly chaotic reality. This is the reason that in the past also led them to warn their commanders that thwarting the takeover is an almost impossible task, with a very clear potential for malfunctions. But according to them, their commanders did not hesitate and emphasized that this was the order of the operation. The shooting, then, was intended to kill the Hamas terrorists who were trying to take over the trucks, no matter what.

The army followed the militants who waited several hours for the aid trucks. When the first truck entered, the terrorists advanced on it in an attempt to loot it. In similar cases in the past, the goods were quickly unloaded and scattered in the area in a short time. An unusual case happened this week, when during the turn of events several jeeps arrived at the scene, from which people dressed in vests, without weapons, got out and took control of the trucks. At first, the IDF believed that these were Hamas operatives who wanted to loot the trucks, without being able to distinguish between them and the real terrorists - and did not know that these were members of the aid organization.

The aircraft operators had to decide what to do in a very short time, within a few seconds. At first they thought not to attack, to try to understand what was happening and to understand what was happening in the field - but finally it was decided to attack. The IDF is trying to understand why this happened, and if the decision was made without knowing that the operators sought to understand what was happening before an attack.

By the way, a few minutes earlier a smaller bomb was launched into the area, which caused some of the vest wearers to run to the trucks instead of running away and hiding - typical behavior of Hamas terrorists, not aid organization volunteers. This behavior made the organizers of the event conclude that they were indeed terrorists, and therefore a fatal shot was fired.

This is an example of how a split-second decision can turn one story into a major event that excites the whole world, and the resulting pressure may even force the IDF to stop fighting for a moment. The investigation carried out by the Chief of Staff, the commander of the Southern Command and the coordinator of government operations in the territories following the incident, which took place in the Southern Command, provided at least one lesson that was quickly implemented: the establishment of a joint Operations-Room of Coordinator of Government Activities and the fire center in the Southern Command, with the aim of preventing such incidents once more.

In the background of these things, after the global storm passes, we will reach the end of the month of Ramadan this week. Whether Israel admits it or not, it seems that the IDF waited for the end of the holy month for Muslims to begin the operation in Rafah. It is not yet clear when it will begin and if a possible war in the north will thwart its existence.

The IDF has not yet started operating in the southern part of the center camps in Gaza, and has not yet evacuated the residents from there. It is clear to the army chiefs, however, that the goals of the war cannot be met without action in Rafah and the destruction of the four Hamas battalions there, in addition to the operation to destroy the two remaining battalions in the center camps. At the same time, Israel is still required to eliminate the leadership of Hamas and return its kidnapped citizens from Gaza. In the end, everything starts with a political decision, and so far this has not been received.

Yes. I thought to publicize --this insider info-- and translate (via friends) it as truth needs to be revealed, painful as is. It is not an official statement or such.

I only have two dependable sources of support and trust in my life, that of my dog and that of G-d. Israel hurts itself and places all of its supporters in an impossible position when these accidents occur.

When the U.S inadvertently bombed a hospital in Iraq or Afghanistan during the war I was in the same place. I couldn't defend it in the face of those who told me America was engaging in war crimes. A similar air of despair is felt when IDF did this.

My feeling is that this may be one of the turning points. They need to get rid of Hamas and rescue the hostages. The number of innocent lives lost cannot continue to rise. This makes it more difficult as I never liked the idea of time frames during war. Hamas benefits from this but there is a great deal of International and domestic pressure on Bibi.

It's crystal clear to see that the Israelis are only interested in indiscriminately killing and ultimately eradicating the Palestinian people from the face of the earth.

There's simply no ifs, ands or buts about it.

That's quite too much a statement of certainty and not at all objective.

There may be a few extremists in government and even IDF, not unlike any government or military. I could point you to some police state supporters in Canada as an example...

This does not make the majority nor a defined modus operandi of Israel or the IDF. Otherwise, they wouldnt have fired those involved in this attack.

Let's see, what has occurred so far at the hands of the Israelis
  1. Non-stop attack on civilian areas
  2. Attacking hospitals
  3. Bombing where they said would not be bombed
  4. Killing their own (half naked) unarmed citizens (ostensibly who they thought were Palestinians)
  5. Droning unarmed Palestinians
  6. Now droning clearly marked aid vehicles

Dude, there's a pogrom at work here snap out of it!

You give me an example where a Hamas terrorist was fired from their job for murdering Israelis or ANY citizen in any nation.

Both are wrong, only one comes with consequences and was not based on intent.

Perhaps you missed my other link which reported that the IDF fired two superiors in the attack on the WCK and also reprimanded three others.

They are NOT there looking to murder innocent people, while Hamas and others are. Understand the difference?

Yes, this attack was horrific, but you are conflating a far deeper agenda. Such an agenda doesn't end in people losing their jobs if they were doing as you suggested.

Tell me you're not buying the fall-guy shtick.

They're goal is to eradicate Palestinians, plain and simple.

It's crystal clear ..
Gee why does it take so long with such powerful weapons and so many days (over 200) if your propaganda was anything truthful?

Do you realize even amidst this war on JihadiFascist regime, many Gazans are working inside Israel
(this)?

You do know that the Arabs living inside Israel (often with preferential treatment) are the same ethicity as Gazans..

Whereas...

When was the jihadofascist regime ever sincere?

When did they ever take responsibility?

Interesting information.thank you. How this plays out with the rest if the world is anyones guess.
Well, Savanah Guthrie, working for lefty NBC tried to push WH's John Kirby this morning.

This is some of how it went:

___

Today on NBC, April 5, 2024

White House national security council spokesperson John Kirby joins TODAY to address the airstrikes that killed members of World Central Kitchen and the calls for an independent investigation. He also weighs in on if the United States is prepared to cut military aid to Israel if they don’t see meaningful changes in fighting.

Guthrue:

...The IDF has just released its findings. It says the strike on the vehicle a grave mistake, stemming from a serious failure from mistaken identification, errors in decision-making and an standard operating procedures. Errors in decision-making..
The WCK says, fine, but it wants an independent investigation...

Kirby:
we will look at that investigation ourselves and take a look at and see what we think of their findings and their conclusions before we make any judgment going forward. This is an agency of the Israeli government that has conducted independent Investigations before...it is almost like an inspector general if you will. They have done this in the past.

Guthrie:...

Kirby:
I don't want to get ahead of the president...
I will note, one of the things the president did talk about with the PM Netanyahu was the very real threat they are facing from Iran, right now, a very public threat from the Iranians.
And the President made it clear, that our support for Israel and their self-defense is not going to change. The commitment the United states made over previous administrations republican or Democratic and we are going to make sure that to meet that commitment as well. They live in a tough neighborhood. While we are all focused, rightly, on the war in Hamas and Gaza, they're under threat from the Houthis and militia groups they are funding resourcing training and preparing in Iraq and Syria.

Guthrie:
Fair enough.
To that point, the President when he went to Israel, he called his support for Israel, rock solid and unwavering.
Now it seems, Israel is on a short leash.

Kirby:
Noth things can be true.
You can have a rock solid, unwavering support for Israel because of the neighborhood they're living in and threats they are facing but take note in the way in which they're conducting operations. That's the discussion they had yesterday...

So they incinerate aid trucks rather than inspecting them as the load up. Is that your final apology for the IDF?

.. rather than inspecting them ...
I don't have any authority to "apologize" on behalf of US or IDF.
If you mean IDF's mistaken accident?
Then,
What do you mean by "inspecting" them from miles away in the dark -in these rapid seconds- when their behaviour showed Hamas pattern?
You write as if the IDF operators were close by...
