Somewhere shortly before the election, Obama consigliere Kommisar Valerie Jarret went off on a rant saying that after the election the administration was going to settle scores with any and every person that criticized, objected to, or stood in the way of anything the administration wanted or did.

Nominating Susan Rice for Secretary of State would put both Sens John McCain and Lindsay Graham in positions where Obama could destroy both men simultaneously and send a potent message to any and all who might choose to oppose him in the future.
