Obama owns your grandma's sweater

According to the left the people as a whole own the means of production. This sounds awfully democratic but lets think about this for a moment. When your grandma makes sweater and decides to give it to you she did not own it. The people did. That means the politicians that represent the people have to decide whether or not grandma can distribute that sweater to you or if the colors she used were correct. Your neighbors will then form PACs to decide the issue publicly. Maybe we could get a few referendums going on the issue. I know grandma's sweater was important but I didn't think it was that important!
