One wonders about the blackboard math behind the decision to give federal pay raises (not sure if all of them get raises) when substantial numbers of the nation's private sector workforce flatlined or declined in wages in the period since federal workers got a raise.

Not to mention that the failure of regulatory agencies, most notably the NY Fed under Geithner is a primary cause of the nation's economic distress.
