LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The hostility between Fox News Channel and MSNBC reached a fever pitch Wednesday when a Fox producer infiltrated the General Electric shareholders meeting.

GE to build $100 million battery plant near Albany
5/12/09 By PAUL GLADER
To help construction, GE said it would tap a $15 million grant from New York state, and is seeking roughly $40 million from the federal economic-stimulus package. The efforts reflect a move by New York political leaders to develop a "Lithium Valley" for battery technology along the Erie Canal and by GE to gain from the Obama administration's push for renewable energy.
Federal stimulus money "helps make these technologies go forward more quickly," said GE's Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt. He said the advanced-battery business will be part of GE's transportation unit and could generate $500 million per year in revenue by 2015.

General Electric pays off regulators with bailout money
Posted Aug 5th 2009 3:30PM by Zac Bissonnette
And the madness continues: When General Electric (NYSE: GE) settled SEC securities fraud charges yesterday by paying a fine of $50 million, it was chump change in the context of the volume of federal assistance the company has already received.
"GE bent the accounting rules beyond the breaking point," said Robert Khuzami, Director of the SEC's Division of Enforcement.

Is MSNBC a Front for Corporate Lobbying and P.R.?
[Stephen Spruiell]
8/26/09
MSNBC host Rachel Maddow has accused the town-hall protesters of being mindless puppets for "AstroTurf" groups, which is how she describes Dick Armey's FreedomWorks — she called the group "a front for corporate lobbying and P.R." If we applied Maddow's own standards to MSNBC and its parent company, GE, we would have every right to lob the same accusation at Maddow and her liberal colleagues for supporting cap and trade:
