Obama defeats Putin

What I'm saying is that Democrats were willing to put aside petty politics for the good of the nation.....obviously, Republicans aren't

Is that what you're saying? Let's go to the video tape:

rightwinger said:
Dems were dumb enough to buy into Bush's threats that if you did not vote for Iraq you were soft on terrorism

You hate video tape, don't you big guy? It keeps nailing you in your constantly shifting positions.
?

When you figure out what you are arguing, let me know.

I'm amused by liberals like Winger who think any Republican that was voted into office running on a conservative platform should be willing to abandon that platform "for the good of the nation" which translates in lib-speak to give us what we want because although we said elections have consequences when WE won...we didn't mean it if the other guys won!

Yes, for the good of the country

We had an economy in collapse, 700,000 a month losing jobs, auto companies on the brink of collapse.....Something had to be done

But we had Republicans who voted for TARP and economic stimulus programs when Bush was President and suddenly started worrying about debt once Obama was President

Yes, Republicans did vote for TARP and stimulus programs when Bush was President! What they didn't want to vote for was the stimulus program that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid cooked up that gave sweetheart deals for government employees who had supported Obama so they could keep working while ignoring the private sector and using TARP to give preferential treatment to UAW workers while screwing over GM stock holders. Or using the stimulus to give billions to "green" companies like Solyndra who also contributed mightily to the Democrats in 2008. They were worried about debt because Obama, Pelosi and Reid wanted to continue to spend at the same rate as we did in 2008 when the countries financial institutions were teetering on the verge of collapse and we bailed them out. The amount of debt that we've added to the national debt in the past six years is quite frankly STAGGERING but liberals like yourself don't want to deal with the reality of what that debt means.

TARP primarily benefitted the banks and auto industry under Bush....same as Obama

While Republicans voted to give Bush anything he wanted, they were perfectly willing to have them fail under Obama

Dems were dumb enough to buy into Bush's threats that if you did not vote for Iraq you were soft on terrorism

In addition to Iraq, Dems supported Bush on Homeland security, Patriot act, Afghanistan and anything else he played his 9-11 card on

That's why the right just loves a war, they know they can use it for their Nationalistic nonsense and get away with it. Politics takes over and the left don't want to be seen as "unpatriotic", Obama bombing Libya when McCain said so has to be one of the most ridiculous things ever.

Well, it is different. Remember how Democrats gave W everything he wanted? Not like the meanie pants Republicans are now.

Hmmm...neither do I...

Yes, I do remember Democrats giving Bush everything he wanted

After 9-11 Bush received a 9-11 card good for any legislation he thought necessary to fight terrorism. Bush used it the form Homeland Security, Patriot Act and wars in Afghanistan and Iraq
Dems also gave Bush what he requested to fight his economic collapse including TARP and an economic stimulus

Can you name a single bill supported by Obama that Republicans voted for?
Lol, the democrats voted against the Iraq war first. Then they realized they messed up and begged Bush for a revote.

Dems were dumb enough to buy into Bush's threats that if you did not vote for Iraq you were soft on terrorism

In addition to Iraq, Dems supported Bush on Homeland security, Patriot act, Afghanistan and anything else he played his 9-11 card on
So your saying Bush was a leader, and Obama is a pussy.
What I'm saying is that Democrats were willing to put aside petty politics for the good of the nation.....obviously, Republicans aren't
Now that's funny, except for the Iraq war. Democrats wanted everything else, obama and the democrats have double downed on bush's policies.

Putin thought he could invade the Ukraine like he invaded Georgia....with no consequences. But our economic sanctions are ruining Russia's economy.

Putin thinks he is still in the Soviet Union where they make their own rules and the rest of the world doesn't matter

Ask North Korea how that is working out

Groaning Towards War against Russia on Capitol Hill. House Resolution 758 Global Research

The US House of Representatives might have though it through a bit more, but House Resolution 758, the handiwork of Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill), passed with 98 percent of the vote.[1] The text lasts a dreary 16 pages, but that is the least of it. It states, in the undusted, revised language of Cold War vitriol, the agenda of Russia’s Vladimir Putin, which the House accuses of using “a policy of aggression against neighbouring countries aimed at political and economic domination.” It makes reference to Russia’s purported violation of “each of the 10 principles of the 1975 Helsinki Accords in its relations with Ukraine.”

A line is drawn in the sand of political engagement – Russia, it is claimed, further violated ceasefire agreements of the September Minsk Protocol while also providing “military equipment, training, and other assistance to separatist and paramilitary forces in eastern Ukraine.” This, in turn, is said to breach the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, not to mention breaching that rather worn document, the United Nations Charter.

The resolution is, furthermore, a dossier of blame, a document of accusation. Russia’s paw prints are said to be on everything from the disruption of Ukrainian elections on May 25, 2014 to the downing of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17.

This is simply wreckless. Obama didn't defeat anything, but congress seems hell bent on starting a serious war we can neither afford, nor fight considering how thinly we've stretched ourselves with multiple hot wars and proxy wars under this "liberal" president.

It's already been shown that Georgia started that one, moron. Get your facts straight. All parties involved broke international law.

Good god you fucks are dumb.

So now Obama is ruining our economy and the Russian economy. He does have a gift, doesn't he?

The market responded immediately, with dramatic declines in the Russian ruble and the Moscow stock market. In addition, the sanctions only exacerbated an already difficult situation for Russian companies. Syndicated loans for Russian commodities producers are down more than 80 percent over the past six months. The appetite for Russian bonds has also decreased considerably in the aftermath of the Ukraine crisis. So the current round of sanctions made a bad situation worse.”

Gaddafi you say? :lmao: Making Libya a safer place?

Nothing screams Obama's Arab Spring failure like jihadists partying down in the US embassy in Tripoli. Having a freaking pool party.

No updates for 2014 though I think I read in the Telegraph it wasn't a bad year for them.

Better than for the Democrats in the midterms.

Republicans have the most seats in Congress since 1947 after triumphs in Louisiana
  • GOP will hold at least 246 House seats come January, following Saturday's election results
  • Commanding majority matches the party's post-World War II high during Democratic President Harry S. Truman's administration between 1947-49
  • One race still must be decided in a Democratic-held district in the Tucson, Arizona
  • GOP win would give party largest majority since 1929-31 when they controlled 270 seats in President Herbert Hoover's administration

Putin hates Muslims and gays, believes in the flat tax, and never met a war he didn't like.

Putin should run for president as a Republican.

Russia's Finance Ministry has warned that wider Western sanctions as a result of the Ukraine crisis could have a "significant negative impact on GDP."
In one of the most frank official assessments to date of the economic costs of the conflict and effect of Western sanctions, the ministry warned in an internal document this week that geopolitical tensions present "the greatest risks of destabilization of the Russian economy."
