Good or not so good, Oakland has lost the Warriors, the Raiders and now the Athletics over the last several years. People complain about subsidizing stadiums. Well, the city did not. The teams want all the perks. They may have turned down cheaper newer stadiums.

The Raiders had no prayer of staying in Oakland because of that ************ mark davis.he is just like his father traiter Al who is burning in hell now. Al left fir LA because he could not get luxury boxes installed in Oakland,thst ************ cared more about luxury boxes than tradition and gayboy mark is no differerent.the raiders left for Vegas because they could not get a new stadium,I only watch old classic NFL games these days because the NFL is as corrupt as our government is.they put shiny brand new state of the art stadiums before history and tradition,**** the NFL, anybody who pays cable to watch the NFL or goes to their games is an idiot.a fool,a tool fir the government.
Ronnie Lott was going to be part owner of the raiders,he had investors who were willing to put up the money to fund a new stadium and they had a viable plan to get a new one funded but the NFL and mark davis turned a blind eye to them and ignored them,************ mark davis is going to hell just like his father did,they both wanted out of Oakland no matter what,no matter what viable plans for a new stadium were presented to the NFL and Oakland.people’s livelihoods were destroyed both times the raiders left Oakland but mark and Al Davis did not give a shit.they only care about themselves.

When the giants were talking about leaving the Bay Area to play in orlando,before they got their new stadium,when they were playing in candlestick park playing in an old stadium,they had empty seats everywhere as well and had the same problem,once they got theur new stadium though,they packed them in,you can’t sit there with a strait face and tell me if that owner did the right thing and sold the team to an owner committed to staying in Oakland willing to finance and build a new stadium thst they would not pack them in there in droves.

Post#22 confirms they pack them in like sardines and are loyal to the team.their stadium always looked like that even when they were terrible,they are just not showing up now because they know they are leaving.the only seats in that pic that are not filled are the mount davis seats that were put there for raider games.the nosebleed seats which are TERRIBLE seats.


As I said in my previous post,the giants in San Fran had the same problem,when they were playing in candlestick before they got THEIR new ballpark and there were talks of them leaving the Bay Area and moving to florida,befire mlb stepped in and blocked the move,games at candlestick where the giants played,they had half empty stadiums as well,it was a ghosttown in their ballpark for giants games,they got their new ballpark and that changed everything fir attendance fir them.

Moving to Vegas mark davis has found out was a major mistake on his part as I said it would be.he is finding out that there is no homefield advantage fir the raiders in Vegas,that every home game is a ROAD game fir him just as I sad it would be..the chargers are going through the same thing in LA.even if they win,they will never be accepted in those cities.it will be even much worse fir the As in Vegas with fan support,baseball is not big anymore as it was back in the 70’,80,s and 90’s.
Best thing baseball can do for themselves is block the move and get a new opener to keep them in Oakland,they will **** that up of course though just as the nfl did with the raiders and chargers and let them leave their cities as well.

Oh, please. Oakland has exceeded the American League attendance average only 8 times since 1968 (see link). They have fallen below the AL average 49 times.

Oakland only averaged 11k fans in their hey day years of 72-74. Oakland did exceed the AL attendance average from 88-93, but I guess everyone wanted to see steroid boys jack big home runs in that cavernous, God-forsaken park.

And you're seriously comparing Oakland Alameda to Wrigley and Fenway? I loathe Cubs' and Sox fans, but gimme a break.
