march 10 2016 Many unforeseeable things have happened so far in the raucous Republican presidential race. But the 2016 election — with its rudeness, crudeness, bluster and bullying — has also presented adults with an unexpected, unpleasant dilemma: How on earth do they explain Donald Trump to children?

Kathy Maher, a sixth-grade teacher in Newton, Mass., said that election years usually presented an excellent opportunity for students to observe the virtues of the American democratic process. But this year, she said, she worries about the school’s mock-debate season, when someone will have to play Mr. Trump — a candidate who, if he were a student, would be sent straight to the principal’s office.

“I try really hard, when we discuss politics, to take a balanced view,” she said. “But I felt I had to say something this time, because the things Donald Trump says wouldn’t be tolerated in our schools. He bullies people, he name-calls, he makes fun of people because of their race, their ethnicity and the way they look.”

You explain that bad men often want to become President (and hopefully that doesn't happen)...

my daughter thinks he's a moron

no explaining necessary.

Don't discuss politics with the kids.

Half are hard core democrats, half are hard core republicans.

This year, 2 grandkids will be voting for the first time.

one for each side.

No matter WHO the candidate is

Just tell the truth.

Anyone less aggressive gets shouted down by the Media.

They listen to the leftist/socialist teachers and believe them.

Me? I just tell mine the truth.

They listen to their parents

The same way you explain professional wrestling and movies. "It's all an act and none of it is real."

But no joke : My good friends girlfriend has 2 mixed Mexican kids. The young boy, 10 I think, asked his mom if trump was going to deport him. IDK if she actually tried to explain anything but I know she said "no, you are a citizen".

Simple. He wants to make America better for AMERICANS like me and mommy. He want to get rid of the idiots speaking Spanish all over our city. He wants to let parents and local communities control their kids education. Its very simple when your kids are smart enough to realize that life isn't how its supposed to be and its hard to make ends meet and the scum invading their schools are too dumb to learn and can't speak English.

Mommy should have kept her legs shut and only dated her own race.

She loved him. Nothing wrong with that. Of course, they haven't heard from him in ten years and he is back in Mexico.. lol

Now there is a surprise!

It is actually very instructive for them to understand, how people like Mussolini cam to power.

"why didn't people know?" they ask

"because some people only think with their amygdalas"

Or you can say tell them that Demorats are running a felon and a communist, but are preaching the essential destruction of the US. So a candidate like Trump will get transactions because he is a successful businessman, knows that illegal immigration is destroying America and it needs to be stopped not rewarded and Islam is the enemy of the US. Just like we wouldn't allow a free flow of NAZIs into the US in the 30s-40s or a truly ignorant person would argue against it.

Or you can do what I do: my son hates Trump because of what his liberal teachers and grandparent tell him. Keep studying hard in math and science and get a good job and you will learn the truth on your own.
