Has trump effectively removed any moral standards required to serve the people?

Federal investigators have established a web of payments among Matt Gaetz and dozens of friends and associates who are said to have taken part with him in drug-fueled sex parties, according to a document obtained by The New York Times.

Among those who received money from Mr. Gaetz were two women who have testified that he hired them for sex, according to the document and a lawyer for the two women. The lawyer said payments to the women ultimately totaled around $10,000.

The document obtained by The Times was assembled by federal investigators during a sex-trafficking investigation into Mr. Gaetz, who is President-elect Donald J. Trump’s choice for attorney general. It shows how Mr. Gaetz and a friend sent thousands of dollars through Venmo to dozens of people who, according to testimony that is said to have been given to federal and congressional investigators, were involved in sex parties from 2017 to 2020.

One of the women Gaetz had sex with testified she wasn't sure if he knew a 17 year old he paid to have sex with was under 18. Things like that may have stopped him from being prosecuted. But he wasn't "cleared."

Even if you remove the sex trafficking and drug use from consideration Gaetz still isn't qualified to be AG due to his complete lack of experience as a practicing lawyer.
Are those the same xiden federal investigators that found there was no crime?

No. After all, their investigation lead to identifying Venmo payments from Gaetz to various under aged women for sex.
They know he’s a sex trafficking pedo and they just don’t care

Amazing

who's they?

Cause the DOJ did investigate for three years and didn't charge him and closed it.

A big shout out to the NYT for printing the diagram of the payments Gaetz made to women for sex. Some of whom were under age.

GFY 🤡 This is why lefties are thought to be so stupid, they have zero ability to do any research on their own, all they do is sitin front of their TEEVEE all day and wallow in 'media' misinformation.

House Gaetz Probe Relies On Witnesses DOJ Found Not Credible

The report comes years after DOJ dropped its investigation into the same claims on the grounds that the two central witnesses had serious credibility issues. Yet these are the same two central witnesses the House Ethics Committee has relied on for its critical report of Gaetz—the same report it is leaking to compliant reporters as part of a coordinated effort to thwart his nomination as President-elect Donald Trump’s next attorney general.

Questionable Credibility of Two Key Witnesses in Matt Gaetz Probe May Lead to No Criminal Charges: Report

The 17-year-old at issue in the investigation was also on that trip, though by that time she was already 18 or older, people familiar with the matter have said. She has been a central witness in the investigation, but people familiar with the case said she is one of two people whose testimony has issues that veteran prosecutors feel would not pass muster with a jury.

I don't see where that answered my question.

Also he worked in private practice at AnchorsGordon in FL.

Why do you just make things up?

Moreover, I can't think of a single time I saw Garland in a Court room since he has been AG

No. I don’t see it as an issue.

Your post was simply illogical.

Deal with your own inability to think clearly.
We simply don't agree. I can live with it, whether you can or not.

Woman told House Ethics Committee she saw Gaetz have sex with minor, her lawyer says

A woman told the House Ethics Committee that she saw Matt Gaetz, who is President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for the U.S. attorney general, have sex with a minor, her lawyer said Friday.

“My client testified to the House Ethics Committee that she witnessed Rep. Gaetz having sex with a minor at a house party in Orlando in 2017,” Joel Leppard said.

Gaetz, a far-right Republican U.S. representative, resigned from Congress on Wednesday after Trump announced plans to nominate him for attorney general, has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.

Leppard said the woman he represents testified before the House Ethics Committee in April.

He said he represents two witnesses who have provided testimony to the committee regarding Gaetz.

“The American people deserve to know the truth about the person slated to become the top law enforcement officer in the country” Leppard told NBC News.

Reagan broke the unspoken prohibition of a divorcee running for the presidency. Since then trump has shattered any semblance of it. He stole money from a charity, is a convicted criminal, is twice criminally indicted, twice impeached, a two time divorcee, a 26 time recipient of sexual abuse allegations, was found financially accountable for sexual abuse (rape by federal statute), stiffed investors in his casino biz, and was sued dozens of times for failing to pay money he owed to small contractors. He can fairly be described as morally bankrupt.

So here's my question.

If this testimony is accurate...“My client testified to the House Ethics Committee that she witnessed Rep. Gaetz having sex with a minor at a house party in Orlando in 2017,”.........does it matter to the Repubs who voted for trump that the potential future AG had sex with a minor? Are traditional moral standards a thing of the past if the politician in question is in your tribe?

Then they House Ethics Committee or someone on it should have already made a call to the Orlando PD and the DOJ to investigate Gaetz and charge him with a crime, and if he's guilty bury him under the jail after he's raped to death with a baseball bat.

And that made him qualified to be AG? You're kinda pathetic.
um you are the one that claimed it was what one needed to be.....which frankly, I don't think anywhere is it required that someone have been a practicing attorney,

Garland for example wasn't a practicing attorney when he got the nomination.

Please state plainly whether you believe Gaetz was qualified to be AG based on his legal acumen and experience, putting aside the sex trafficking allegations.
