NY Times Admits: Anchor Babies Benefit Hugely from Taxpayer-Funded Welfare

They DON'T "keep the parents in the US forever." Having US citizen children does NOT change the immigration status of the parents. Any illegal aliens can and should be deported.

How likely are illegal parents of anchor babies to be actually deported?

I could be wrong but I think the American born children of green card holders will qualify for US citizenship since the parents are permanent legal residents under any change proposed by trump

At the very least they will receive a green card of their own that they can use to become naturalized citizens after their 18 or 21st birthday
If they are born here they are already citizens the moment they are born. Doesn't change the immigration status of the parents.

Very. If they so much as get a speeding ticket they know how it very well may play out. Happens all the time. There is no such thing as an "anchor baby." No anchoring involved.

Do you have a source for your assumption?

As of today yes

And probably in the future

But as I said, even if the children of chinese tourists of illegal aliens are no longer given that comp

It's not an assumption. I personally know many families separated in just such a manner. I work with immigrants and immigrant families every day. I have for over 30 years.

Okay, that's anecdotal evidence. That said, how often have to seen anchor baby families actually deported?

If the parents are here illegally they are subject to deportation. Happens all the time. Fact.

"NY Times Admits: Anchor Babies Benefit Hugely from Taxpayer-Funded Welfare
The United States-born children of illegal aliens and temporary visa-holders, commonly referred to as “anchor babies,” are benefiting hugely from American taxpayer-funded welfare, the New York Times admits.

In a piece detailing President Donald Trump’s goals to preserve the nation’s social safety net for American citizens, the Times admits that anchor babies — who are rewarded birthright American citizenship even as their parents have no legitimate ties to the United States — are major welfare beneficiaries whose parents will be impacted by such policy changes.

“Immigration experts and advocates for immigrant rights say the changes would instead largely be felt by children who are U.S. citizens but whose parents are undocumented or immigrants who are authorized to live in the United States, such as refugees and people granted asylum,” the Times reports:"

The best way to get these illegal alien families off of welfare is to deport them. They can go on welfare at home, if their home gov'ts allow them to.
The CBO estimates an increase in federal revenues from the influx of immigrants at the border through 2034, a budget surplus for these immigrants based on estimates, including the costs of govt assistant monies (well fare) of various natures that get paid out, minus the tax revenues these people contribute in taxes from working...and other sin and gas taxes the federal govt collects in taxes from them.

(Parolees and asylum seekers can legally work while awaiting their court date to see if they are granted asylum by a judge....and this contributes to the CBO report on this, that they gave to Rep. Comer showing the budget surplus for illegals...on the ten year budget ending 2034.)

FYI- It isn't a "comp", it is a constitutional dictate.

Also
they can become
President of the United States.
Can I blame
the Supreme Court for that ?

I think you know what I meant so quit stalling

The new rules if implemented would deny automatic citizenship to children of parents without a green card and permanent residency
That's closer, but I don't think the Supreme Court is interested in ruling on that just yet. As things stand now, a Constitutional Amendment is still the most likely (only?) route to making that happen.
