The anchor baby loophole was created by a SC ruling and can be undone the same wayThat's closer, but I don't think the Supreme Court is interested in ruling on that just yet. As things stand now, a Constitutional Amendment is still the most likely (only?) route to making that happen.
There is no such thing as an "anchor baby," and the 14th Amendment still stands as most recently interpreted. Stop tilting at windmills. The anchor baby loophole was created by a SC ruling and can be undone the same way
It stands until 5 black robes say otherwiseThere is no such thing as an "anchor baby," and the 14th Amendment still stands as most recently interpreted. Stop tilting at windmills.
Probably until - IF - there is another Constitutional Amendment. It stands until 5 black robes say otherwise
The country is far too divided to even agree on what time it is, much less the issue of anchor babies and birthright citizenshipProbably until - IF - there is another Constitutional Amendment.
Do you think we are supposed to agree on everything? The country is far too divided to even agree on what time it is...
Why do you support people here illegally? There is no such thing so:................
And illegals are not on welfare.
It stands until 5 Justices say it doesn't.There is no such thing as an "anchor baby," and the 14th Amendment still stands as most recently interpreted. Stop tilting at windmills.
They won't.It stands until 5 Justices say it doesn't.
I'm curious. What welfare do they get?I'm giggling Pknincompoop stating illegals don't get welfare. What a dope
Why do you support people here illegally?
What about article 2 section 1 clause 5.Yes, US citizens can become president of the United States if they win a presidential election.
We used to agree on the most essential issues of national securityDo you think we are supposed to agree on everything?
Ms.Contrary-pants delivers as usual. There is no such thing so:................
And illegals are not on welfare.
We've never ignored it. All PRESIDENTS have to be a natural born citizen....and all presidents have been. What about article 2 section 1 clause 5.
Just ignore it ?
That's what we've been doing.
Can anchor babies be President. How likely are illegal parents of anchor babies to be actually deported?
It's not so much as a pointWe've never ignored it. All PRESIDENTS have to be a natural born citizen....and all presidents have been.
The clause does not contradict all PERSONS born on our soil ...are citizens at birth?
What is your point???
Yes, anyone born on our soil who is not a child of foreign diplomat, ambassador, or the foreign king himself, or a child of a foreign enemy at war, and subject to our jurisdiction, is a natural born citizen and when they reach the age of 35, they can run and be President, if elected,Can anchor babies be President.
It's not so much as a point
as it is an article in the Constitution.
You remember the Constitution.
Chester Arthur Barack Obama Kamala Harris that sort of thing.
I think you might be adding stuffYes, anyone born on our soil who is not a child of foreign diplomat, ambassador, or the foreign king himself, or a child of a foreign enemy at war, and subject to our jurisdiction, is a natural born citizen and when they reach the age of 35, they can run and be President, if elected,
What about Presidents Chester Arthur and Barak Obama and VP Harris? They were all eligible under the constitution, and born on our soil while their resident parents lived here and were subject to our laws and regulations.
