Green card holders are invited here, through their green card issuance, and they are invited to become legal Naturalized citizens after 5 years here and keeping their nose clean.
No, their babies have nothing to do with their citizenship...their green card visa is what will give them and their immediate family members, (children and spouse), citizenship.
I know you don't intend to be intellectually dishonest. But that is what it is when you throw in something totally different than what the thread is about and try to change the subject with a false implication.
Also, green card holders are punished and get a strike against them if they apply and need welfare before the 5 years here....and the strike against them, can make them lose their opportunity to become a citizen and remain a green card holder.

The Democrats want to count illegal migrants in the 2030 census
Texas, Florida, Arizona and Idaho are likely to gain House seats after the 2030 census, according to consulting firm Election Data Services.
A gain of two congressional seats would be seen in Texas and Florida, and one seat each in Arizona and Idaho, if congressional reapportionment were being ”held today,” the firm said in a Friday press release. That is based on population estimates for 2024 from the U.S. Census Bureau.

With America’s population shifting to the South, political influence is seeping from reliably Democratic states to areas controlled by Republicans. Coming out of a presidential election where they lost all seven swing states, Democrats are facing a demographic challenge that could reduce their path to winning the U.S. House of Representatives or the White House for the long term.
If current trends hold through the 2030 census, states that voted for Vice President Kamala Harris will lose around a dozen House seats — and Electoral College votes — to states that voted for President-elect Donald Trump. The Democratic path to 270 Electoral College votes, the minimum needed to win the presidency, will get much narrower.
“At the end of the day, Democrats have to be able to win in the South or compete in the South” if they want to control the levers of government, said Michael Li, senior counsel for the Democracy Program at New York University School of Law’s Brennan Center for Justice. “Otherwise, it’s a really uphill battle every time.”
The Brennan Center, which is left-leaning, projects Democratic states in 2024 would lose 12 seats in the next census. The right-leaning American Redistricting Project forecasts a similar blue-to-red shift but pegged the loss at 11 seats, not 12.

We gladly subsidize the very wealthy who move the jobs they are supposed to be creating for Amercans out of the country and yet we get steady bitching from idiots about somebody getting the pennies that go out for welfare. And illegals don't get it, even though they contribute 100 billion in taxes to this country.

With that said it’s very irresponsible of them to have a child prior to becoming a full citizen their status could be revoked prior to obtain citizenship.

I could be wrong but I think the American born children of green card holders will qualify for US citizenship since the parents are permanent legal residents under any change proposed by trump
At the very least they will receive a green card of their own that they can use to become naturalized citizens after their 18 or 21st birthday

They DON'T "keep the parents in the US forever." Having US citizen children does NOT change the immigration status of the parents. Any illegal aliens can and should be deported.

No, and it's not called a "green card" anymore. It's a permanent resident card.
