The billionaires haven't gone anywhere, and they aren't.

There's no place better for them than right there in New York City.

It's where everything worth anything happens.

This is just more MAGA slop.
Say very few people, anywhere.

Escape from New York, 2025 Millionaire Edition

It’s a place where money, culture, and power converge. And yet, as has been seen in San Francisco, Chicago, and other locations around the US, New York is experiencing a steady exodus of millionaires and ultra-high-net-worth individuals. While some observers dismiss this as anecdotal or exaggerated, the facts paint a different picture: one with serious implications for the city’s fiscal health, social fabric, and attractiveness.
.....
Fewer than one percent of taxpayers account for more than 40 percent of all income tax revenue collected in the state, and a similar share in the city. Without those individuals, the ability of millions of ordinary New Yorkers to enjoy subsidized transit, robust public safety services, and cultural investments would collapse. In other words, and despite endless egalitarian rhetoric, the lifestyle of the masses is silently carried on the shoulders of the few.

The scale of the loss is becoming visible. Between 2019 and 2020, the number of New Yorkers earning between $150,000 and $750,000 fell by nearly six percent, while the number of true high earners — those making over $750,000 — dropped by nearly 10 percent, according to the city’s Independent Budget Office. This erosion matters because the city’s top one percent — about 41,000 filers — pay more than 40 percent of all income taxes. The top 10 percent pay about two-thirds. Which means the remaining 90 percent of taxpayers contribute only about one-third of the city’s income tax revenue. When even a small share of these high earners disappears, the impact is seismic.

Recent migration trends confirm the damage. More than 125,000 New Yorkers have fled to Florida in just the past few years, carrying nearly $14 billion worth of income with them, according to the Citizens Budget Commission.

AND:

Approximately 5,000 businesses have left New York, and many others may follow. This is was written 2 months ago, probably worse now.

New York officials say these grim numbers compare to the peak of the COVID pandemic.

Sweet. First the state demonstrates total irresponsibility with other people's money through fraud, corruption and giving vast sums away protecting illegals living far outside its budget, and now want you to make up for her indiscretions by giving away all the money you worked hard for.

Kathy is in for a rude disappointment.
She certainly has no problem stating the shamefully obvious. She needs other people's money to support the 'generous social programs she wants.' Better idea? Put the parasites to work and make them support themselves.

People that can’t flee leftist oppression, do

How on earth can anyone be so tone deaf?

Hey dummy, they left for a reason.
WA and CA are in the denial stage of recognizing the exodus due to their 'generous social programs' but there is a growing awareness. Hopefully it will bring positive results in the rejection of the socialist, globalist democrat agenda.

Not "generous" but OBSCENE levels of welfare spending. New York wastes more money on Medicaid than Texas and California combined.

No offense, but that's kinda hard to believe. There's no question that huge amounts of taxpayer dollars are wasted or fraudulent though. In this day and age, we oughta have a national database that identifies everybody and for a number of good reasons.

Not hard to believe at all. New York's obscene Medicaid has just about every ******* option available under the sun.

Well ... you have to give her credit for basically admitting that she's an idiotic Communist. Hey idiot: The reason they left is because you want their money to pay for Socialism. Proof that Liberal Leftists are horrible at math.
But she probably doesn't support Israel so you'll vote for her.

15th post
Is she short on money for her weekly Botox injection?

^^ Definitely a plus ^^ but way too many minuses to. Us America First folks also require politicians to embrace the Constitution. Currently, only Thomas Massie and Rand Paul fit the mold.

There's something to be said about that. I worked for over a decade at the company that does all the organ matching for the United States, and they have a department dedicated just to positively identifying organ donors and recipients. Turns out that OPOs can only share data if they have an agreement in place, which allows people like Steve Jobs to register in all of them to boost their chances of getting an organ over those who can't jet off to any place in the country at a moment's notice.

It's amazing how many people have the same first and last names and the same birth date. Even SSNs are not 100% positive.
