Committing crime then comes with penalties when caught. They deserve to serve time and that is what juvenile detention centers were created.
For crimes of murder teenagers must be held accountable to their actions not coddled.

This explains why someone posted on twitter (which received may likes) some comment about Trump and Epstein. I won't repeat it here but the were referencing the age of these criminals he called out. I'm not convinced this issue helps him for the midterms, but what do I know? I think the deportations and economic focus is a bigger winner. The focus on this just alows the repeated "where are the files" comments on social media. It has cooled down some, but only because Trunp focused on calling out the Russia Hoaxsters (via Gabbard) and Trump pushing for peace with Russia. The war in Israel has also been a drag on his numbers and he knows this Im sure. We need peace around the globe. When Trunp deals with positive issues it cuts off his detractors. When he focuses too much on these issues, I dont think it helps him as much as he believes. FWIW, at Common Law, fourteen was the age at which it was presumed that a "child" took adult responsibility for his acts.

While we know now that intellectual and moral maturation generally takes much longer than this for males, that does not lead to the conclusion that violent crimes by 14's should not result in some for of incarceration - to protect society if for no other reason.

Criminal court judges must have broad discretion in sentencing yoots, but as sure as I'm sitting here typing this, if such a judge acts rationally, s/he will be accused of racism, for all the usual bogus reasons.

Not an easy problem to manage.
