1. From what I understand, they are worried they will set up convoys and then Trump will declare victory and bail, leaving them with the bag.

So, Trump went off on one criticizing tradition US allies, like the UK, like Spain (the only two countries to participate in the Iraq War in 2003).

Now he's finding out the consequences to his actions. These allies don't want to join Trump because they think Trump is not the sort of ally you really want.

The UK won't help, and in my opinion, let's give America their own medicine and join in in 2 years time, then claim victory. Plus, there would need to be some formal lease agreement for military aid to be paid back.

Our allies have not behaved as allies for a long long time. You know when it got really bad.
