What worries me is the fact that the notion of the "alternate universe" is legitimate. It used to be differences of opinion, which is fine and healthy, and I had agreements and disagreements with both ends.

But now they're (1) literally operating in their own reality of conspiracy theories and fantasy, and (2) convinced they're "at war" with "evil".

Competing realities. Literally. I've observed this for eight years now, and I still can't figure out how we're supposed to improve anything in this condition. And we're surely not.
