my grandmother once confided in me that, while he was courting her and then thereafter during their marriage, my grandfather would sometimes sing this tune to her... not particularly well, but nonetheless sweetly...

Somewhere I have an old vinyl album of Fats and Frankie Trumbauer.

Side note - my foster/step father was a pianist/arranger for the Paul Whiteman orchestra in the 20's and 30's. He also was a "tune tester" at a publisher on Tin Pan Alley and met a lot of the old timers when they brought their sheets in to try out.

Sad that there isn't any real music anymore.
