Have you been to England or France?Whether you agree or disagree with the often-used slogan, "Diversity is our Strength," you should understand that comparing any medical fact from multiple countries with that same statistical "fact" in the U.S. is folly. We are too fucking DIVERSE for those numbers to have any meaning.
Consider lifespans. You cannot compare European or Asian countries that are almost entirely homogeneous with the U.S., which groups together White Europeans, African Americans, Asians, native Americans, and Hispanics (all of which are quite diverse within themselves).
You want something relevant? Compare Chinese life expectancy (in China) with Americans of Chinese ancestry. Compare Italian life expectancy with Italian-American life expectancy. Compare African American life expectancy with that of Africans in West Africa.
Actually, "average folk" outlive the wealthy by several years. It is good to see wealthy folk not outliving average folk. Death is the great equalizer in the end.
What I'm getting from you is ooo ooo ooo, but no numbers. Here are some numbers:![]()
Not even wealth is saving Americans from dying at rates seen among some of the poorest Europeans
Experts said a new study of wealth and mortality in middle-aged and older adults points to deep-rooted health risks in the U.S.www.nbcnews.com
Fifty years ago, life expectancy in the U.S. and wealthy European countries was relatively similar.
That began to change around 1980. As European life expectancy steadily increased, the U.S. struggled to keep pace — and its life expectancy even began declining in 2014.
Today, the wealthiest middle-aged and older adults in the U.S. have roughly the same likelihood of dying over a 12-year period as the poorest adults in northern and western Europe, according to a study published Wednesday in The New England Journal of Medicine.
I suspect a lot of it is due to the crap food that is available.....FDA approved poison in all our food.....Everything is laced with HFCS and preservatives to make it last, be cheaper, and be addictive.
Food makes us sick. Pharmaceuticals make us sicker. Insurance and managed practices driving medical treatment to make profit instead of positive outcomes.
There also chronic stress which leads to heart disease, sleep deprivation, hypertension, inflammation, weakened immune system.....Too few people doing too much work while the rest lay about on the EBT.
Americans found the land of milk and honey alright, but now we are lactose intolerant, and diabetic.![]()
