Chomsky "In the last 30 or 40 years...the Republican Party has simply drifted off the spectrum. It's not a political party in the traditional sense,"
The party has since become "a radical insurgency.

Comment:
Chomsky calling anyone else "radical" is a laugh riot.
Obviously, he is wrong.
The reality is Chomsky is just another far Left cultural bigot who loathes the GOP voter base.
It is the Democrat Party that has become violent far left extremists.
The Democrats are relentlessly working towards a one party neo-marxist dictatorship.
They want to pack the Supreme Court, abolish the Electoral college, abolish the filibuster, add new Democrat states, allow mass illegal immigration.
These corrupt banana republic Democrats are illegally using our own government agencies as political weapons against our representative democracy.
The Left is using our own public schools to indoctrinate people's children in Left Wing hate and racism.
Biden's radical AG is branding voices of dissent as "domestic terrorists".
They are censoring people who refuse to accept the Left's fanatical narrative on global warming and covid.
Chomsky is the real radical and his opinion is irrelevant to sensible mainstream people.

The Democratic Party has never been about the imperatives of natural and constitutional law, and, thus, the perfection of the sociopolitical ethos of America's founding asserted in the Declaration of Independence: the liberty and justice of equal opportunity for all. Rather, it has always been about control.

At times, the Republican Party has lost its way as well. This is why it's so important for those who embrace the American ethos to stick together in one party and push relentlessly toward the perfection control freaks like Chomsky resist.

A news report on a news report? I never understand this sort of shit.

Why don't people just post the original content and let folks make up their own minds, instead of having others editorialize?

The senile asshole is a Professor in Linguistics

I don't look at this as an insurgency. It's becoming more and more clear that this is what the base of the party has been for a long time. Building for decades. They just needed the right spark.

So a lot of longtime Republican leaders somehow didn't see this brewing under the surface, and they're surprised and horrified at what has oozed out like lava, wrecking everything in its path.

Noam has lost his mind. For a guy who made a career out of exposing the wrongs of the state, he fully backs vaccine mandates even to the point of isolating the unvaxxed and preventing them from obtaining food. The guy’s a fucking nut job.

He said these things just three months ago, when it was well known the vaxxed can still contract and transmit the virus.

While I find Chomsky’s current positions unacceptable, because he’s become an authoritarian. He even stated before the last election that all should vote for Biden, ignoring old Joe’s long history of corporatism, warmongering, and corruption.

However he once was a great man. Many of his books are masterpieces on how the elites, capitalism, and government harm the people.

We are only “wrecking” what needed to be wrecked

He is a socialist and an anarchist. He is opposed to government.HAHAHAHA!
Socialists an anarchists are oil and water.....He also has made the preposterous claim of being a "libertarian socialist".

Chomsky needs to get back in his linguist/semanticist box and STFU.

Tell that to the native American tribes that covered the new world, largely had no written law, had no homelessness, no prisoners, no crime, no people going without shelter, no one going hungry, no orphans, no starving or shut-ins or isolated elders, etc. It wasn't perfect, of course, no anarchy is.

Marx never understood, the core of socialism, is not top down state authority, it is voluntary community, based on families and individuals. Marx was a fool, and an authoritarian prick.

Chomsky has these same ideals. But you can't have these ideals and secretly be an authoritarian, which. . . as gipper pointed out, Chomsky is.

Yeah, there's been a lot of things I've agreed with Noam about through the years.

But stuff like this, not so much. That ol' boy's gone off the deep end.

Yeah - he's an empty shell.

Like Biden.

That box is closed. Most of his linguistics theories from the 60s have been largely discredited.
