What President Trump did was to put Congress on notice to pass comprehensive immigration reform, which would also include a 700' wall along the southern frontier, with the bill being sent to Mexico.

In actuality, it would be a point of positivity for the Mexicans, that they should be proud to pay for.

1. Mexico is the home of Cemex, one of the world's premier concrete manufacturers. If you figure a 1200 mile long wall, 50 feet think and 700 feet high, that adds up to a shitload of concrete and a lot of jobs for the hispanic peoples.

2. Mexico has been whining for many years about firearms being smuggled into their realm from America. That was the whole thing about the "fast and furious" program, and what they were trying to prevent.

A wall at the border, with gates for legitimate migration, would be a real control on this. Not only for ICE to stop people and drugs coming here, but for the Mexican federales to give full body cavity searches for anyone coming to their land from the north.

The purpose of the Wall is actually twofold- MAGA, and MMGA. Make Mexico Great Again.
