No More "Enemy Combatants" (On "The Other Side")

Nixon knew about, "The Other Side." It was everywhere! It Was Communist! And It Included Red China(?)!

George Bush II knew about "The Other Side." They were "Terrorists," and "Enemy Combatants," and for them it was "Mission Accomplished(?)!" It was simply not always clear which side the Bush Administration believed had accomplished, what mission.

But even Dick Cheney knew--from even the most undisclosed of locations--that a mission had . . . .happened(?)!

The Obama Administration is now widely public with the concept that "Terrorists" are not "Enemy Combatants." Left unsaid is how the combantants, not of "The Other Side," are to be regarded.

Michele Obama was even on ABC Good Morning America, apparently only now discovering that mainly entire military family's are getting screwed! Mostly, even Congress knew this: Even before the Obama's $4.0 mil. actually did clear the system, at Federal Reserve!

"Dead, Dismembered, Disemboweled, DeCapitated, and even, "Blown To Bits:" Is otherwise useful language that can be used to describe combatants, "Not of the Other Side." The coffins and the funerals can now even be filmed.

Somewhere, in all of this: There may even be a (temporary) anti-war message! The Obama Administration has no apparent comment on, "The Mission!"

An excellent point, Clinton's 'police' attitude let terrorism grow domesitcally into the USA, Bush's 'war' attitude involved US armed forces having to fight in Muslim lands with hostile populations.

The basis reality is that no "other side" existed. The Taliban offered to bring in Osama bin laden for Moslem Trial. Instead of being regarded an allied and friendly government, they became "The Other Side." Then Iraq became "The Other Side." All of the Middle East became the "Other Side."

The typical fanatic militant group usually has no more than a few dozen hard core, and a few hundred adherents.

The actualy scope of the problem has not changed. The terrorists died on 9/11. Even Fox News has noticed that no further attacks have really occurred.

Now, that actually arises because Fox News and GOP do not consider the Mexican Drug Cartels to be terrorists. The only area they seem to terrorize, in the United States, Is Phoenix.

Everyone knows that John McCain is from nearby to there(?). There are therefore no terrorist attacks on-going in America, at this time!

However, the terrorist had the right amount of fear for president Bush because they realized that he meant business. The new president offers time tables, wants to close gitmo, wants to reason with them, and now changes who and what they are.

This is the kind of thinking that will allow something even more sinister than 9/11 to take place. "There are no Muslim terrorists. It was just those 19 that died on 9/11. We don't need to worry about terrorism anymore. Let's just be good friends with the Muslim world. They really are just like us. They just want to live in peace."

One of the main goals of all the new definitions and termanology in the Bush adminstration was to create confusion so that international law and even Constitutional law could be circumvented.

The Federal Government is most beneficial when there is a balance of the opposing parties. Basically, they balance themselves out and neither can become the power monger such as we saw when W and the GOP had complete control. Because the W administration was such a disaster, the Democrats now have a nearly unstoppable run of the federal government.

It is only a matter of time until unlimited power is abused, not unlike it was in the W administration. Perhaps it is a cyclical period in politics. In any case, we all need to be weary of abuses at the hands of those who feel they have received a mandate. Such abuses occur in both Republican and Democratic administrations.
