Look. The budget isnt done. Food prices arent dropping, they are increasing. Healthcare isnt being solved. Unemployment isnt dropping. We arent getting more manufacturing jobs.

There is a lot to do. You obviously know that but are somehow just sticking up for closing congress without a need. Partisanship shouldnt come over the needs of the country. Not sure when you lost sight of that.

What did democrats to try and solve the problems of food price, healthcare, unemployment, and manufacturing when they had the reins of power in DC? If they addressed those issues when they were running things in DC, Trump wouldn't be in office right now. As bad as you make things out to be, I believe poll after poll say that they trust Trump more to handle the economy than democrats. That's a huge indictment from Americans that even with your scenario, they STILL rather have Trump at the wheel.

Democrats in the Senate are arguing for subsidies that was created with the American Rescue Plan Act, a stimulus package aimed to address the impact of the pandemic. Which means, the democrats wrote the bill, wrote in the subsidy, and put in the sunset date of the subsidy. Are we still in a pandemic? No. So, by that logic, the subsidy is no longer needed. What other provisions from that plan are democrats fighting to maintain? Democrats wrote the bill and are now shutting down the government to try and make temporary subsidies permanent because they didn't have the foresight to do when they were in charge. It's probably more because political consultants told them that this may be a winning issue. You may think that the cause is just, but I don't.

So, Trump and the GOP cant do what they promised because you didnt like the same problems under the Democrats? He was elected to fix the things not gaslight us and blame others.
