No better time to leave the Trump cult?

I love debating. It is what made me what I am, by seeking knowledge and becoming a better person able to cope with life's painful realities. As such, I totally welcome someone that will debate with me using data, statistics and facts. When I am "proven" wrong, I not only acknowledge it but thank the person for being able to make me see something I did not know or know correctly.

As such, each and every person I have put on ignore (after giving them countless of chances) has been someone that never debates with data, statistics, and facts, always insulted or debased me (being the messenger of news they did not want to hear), constantly deflected (never debated or addressed the fact). I am not here to waste my time but to make people aware of the facts as I see them or learn new facts. Those that failed to do that, were put on ignore.

I just put up an OP that addresses this. Here is the link:

Under Trump, things are getting out of hand. Much of what he promised has worked the opposite way.

Are you saying that loyalty (not competence) is what is needed in the government? That if your knowledge and experience is telling you that something is being done the wrong way, that you keep quiet and are "obligated to follow his policies"?

This is "supposed to be" a debate board where politics are debated/discussed. If someone immediately insults and insults, they are not supposed to be here. If they are here though and they do debase and insult from the get go, it means that they believe blindly what they believe and will do so no matter what.

The Constitution and the 3 branches of government plus the Supreme Court were put there for compromise among all the States and all Americans is achiever. Not having to compromise means that the current administration is trying to do things "my way or the highway" and that is not Democracy but Dictatorship.
Sorry, I'm too much of a cultist to respond.

Believing and following someone (singing praises) does not make it a cult. Believing blindly (with facts supporting the opposite) and following that person 100% (without questioning anything he does is the definition of a cult.

I feel sorry to say, but you do fit that definition.
Well, that's kind of funny, because no one's telling me what to do, no one's demanding money from me, no one's demanding blind loyalty to any one person, I'm not being cut off from family and friends, I'm not even being told to ignore them despite some of them being massive liberals, none of that applies to me, none. Not much of a cult if that's your definition.

So, you have to invent my membership in some fantasy cult. That's like insisting that I'm a Catholic because I admire some things Catholics do, while I go to an Anabaptist church. You're in the position of wailing, "Yes you are because I say you are!", while I know I'm not what you claim. Sorry, it just don't work that way.

Luckyone is a liar. Not once has he ever admitted he was wrong. He put me on ignore because we disagreed constantly. I kept beating him down and he did not like it. This is total bullshit

No, you are doing to yourself. You are the person that is forcing you to do it. Your common sense cannot convince you otherwise

I am not “inventing” anything, given that if you look in Google, you will see how many expert psychologists are saying it. I am not the only one! It is common knowledge to all who are not in the cult!

Trump bet $40B on Milei, but what do Americans get out of it?

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced Wednesday that the U.S. would be doubling the assistance it is marshaling for Argentina from $20 billion to $40 billion.

The increase comes ahead of legislative elections on October 26 that will elect half the lower house and one-third of the upper house, and represents an increasingly strenuous effort in Washington to bolster Argentine President Javier Milei financially and politically.

In October 2025 the administration of U.S. Pres. Donald Trump announced the extension of a $40 billion bailout package to Argentina. The U.S. Treasury would provide a $20 billion currency swap to prop up Argentina’s ailing peso (a deal that was finalized on October 20), while an additional $20 billion would be financed by a mix of sovereign wealth funds and private banks (this was later scaled back from $20 billion to around $5 billion). Trump made it clear, however, that continued financial support for Argentina was tied directly to the success of Pres. Javier Milei’s La Libertad Avanza (LLA) party in Argentina’s October 26 legislative elections. Trump stated plainly that “If [Milei] loses, we are not going to be generous with Argentina,” and that “we’re not going to waste our time” with Argentina if LLA isn’t victorious. This provided ample fuel for opposition Peronist politicians who characterized such comments as an extortionate expression of colonialist attitudes.

Wow, finally seeing who you are! I am impressed. I will hold you to your own words from now on.
Well you know how it is. If I talk to you then the other trumpsters here will shame and guilt me into cutting you off completely. :auiqs.jpg:

Which actually doesn't sound half bad when I think about it.:laughing0301:

Since you asked nicely..., Your loss. I'm one of the posters who try to argue the issues and refrain from name calling.

Enjoy the echo chamber. See you in 2027.

Ithen it is not knowledge you seek, given that is what I offer

So, despite all the ways that cults operate, and despite how none of them apply to me, you still have to imagine that there's some kind of cult and I'm in it, despite how none of the ways cults operate apply to me.

Have I iterated it enough that you're starting to get it? You have to invent new meanings for cult to try and apply it to me. See, here's the reality. If TRUMP! really ran a cult, his followers would follow him long after he leaves office, making pilgrimages to his library, holding meetings to relive the Glory Days and that's not going to happen, at least not with me. When he leaves triumphantly in '29 to great fanfare, it will be good-bye, enjoy the rest of your life, let's move on. If anything, the haters will be the cultists, unable to let him go, whining and wailing about him and blaming him for the next cycle of sunspots. You know this to be true. The slightest slowdown in the economy for the next two administrations will be blamed on him, at least if a democrat is in office.

Sounds like they need to get a refund for their degrees. Look, there might be a handful of fanatics out there who are nutty enough to devote their lives to TRUMP! and some such, but you'll find that with just about any celebrity. Taylor Swift, Obama, you name it they will have some cultists following them. Obama had schoolteachers teaching their students songs about him, for Pete's sake.

Now, are they saying it's possible to be in more than one cult at a time? I mean, if a TRUMP! cultist votes for JD in the next election, does his membership automatically transfer or does he have to fill out paperwork? Does he maintain membership in both cults, or can he only belong in one at a time? What about the club dues? It's not very clear what rules you're inventing and projecting. And you know full well you will be claiming there's a JD cult and anyone who voices any support for anything he does will be accused of being in it. Once the left discovers a new phrase, they use it to the point of irrelevancy.

A cult person is someone that believes blindly in his leader. A person that does not debate with data, statistics and facts but with words alone. A person that is presented with cold hard facts proving a point but does not acknowledge the information and deflects to other topics, disses the source of the information, or insults and debases the messenger.

In every single conversation we have had, you have shown one or the other of these 3 things to be the case in your answer. How could I not see you as a cult member?

As far as your last paragraph, which is pure bullshit, the cult mentality is not about membership, paying dues, or belonging to one or more cults. It is about believing what ONE person is saying without checking the validity of the statements. It is about believing "everything" that comes out of that person's mouth.

In the case of being a Trump cult member, that is even more telling given that Trump has been proven to be (throughout his entire life) a con artist and a liar. When such a person is believed blindly by anyone, that is total proof of cult membership. That kind of a person (the liar and con artist) should be "automatically" doubted. That kind of a person should not be given the benefit of the doubt, but should first have to prove his statements before being believed.

For example, how can anyone that says this (which is virtually an impossibility) be believed blindly?

Leave Obama alone. Poor guy still has to deal with Mike...err...Michelle.

Because I don't deflect, I rarely diss sources, certainly not from the get-go, and I don't insult the messenger as a tactic. I discuss things. I do have fun with the messenger at times when it becomes obvious that they are not debating in good faith and have insulted me to the point there is no reason to continue on without it.

True cult membership requires more than simply approving of some things a person has said or done. Cult membership requires you to be willing to suspend your own life, isolate yourself from friends and family who might talk you out of it, give your time and wealth to someone, and in many cases, literally give your life for that person. Voting for a politician and supporting some of the things he's done is not cult membership. Like I said, I fully expect you to come up with a JD cult and start claiming that support for his ideas and actions equate to being in it.

Of course, TRUMP!'s a con man. You don't get to the top of the New York real estate market without being able to make people feel good about associating with him. He gets support because he's different and people are tired of the stereotypical politician who is even more of a con man and a liar than he is. Politicians lie to your face KNOWING that you can pull up video of them saying the exact opposite just a little bit ago, because they do not care about the voters knowing the truth, only that they can make the voters feel good enough to get their votes. TRUMP! acts immature, is vain, has a massive ego, is petty and vengeful. I've said all of these things before, and I've always maintained that I wouldn't want to work for or live with him. How is that anywhere close to cult status? This is why you are being disingenuous about this whole thing, because you completely ignore what I've actually said.

Why you pretend the truth is important to any of these people (especially democrats) is beyond me.
