I do not know about others, but my entire life has been based on seeking knowledge and the truth, simply in order to cope with the "harsh" realities I have had to go through in my life. A person cannot deal with life and come up with solutions to overcome the problems if they are not 100% aware of what the facts are.

As far as the Democrats (and anyone else), I do not expect them to be more knowledgeable or less knowledgeable than anyone else. The absolute difference between on party or one person and the other is if they follow and are faithful to what are the established guidelines, with in this case that being the Constitution.

The Democrats (like the Republicans and anyone else) want what they want but that is not what the guidelines of the Constitution allow. Compromise is what the Constitution is all about and the Democrats follow that. Trump and the Republicans want to skirt that!.

That is what makes the Democrats better than the Republicans, in THIS case

Unfortunately, the behavior of democrats the instant the regain control of a part of government belies that statement. In fact, in the Senate, they don't bother to wait until they have the numeric advantage, they just shut down the government until all their demands are met or their voters finally get tired of their antics and force them to cave.

Now, I said a bunch more stuff that you did not bother to respond to. Why is that?

First of all, the Democrats have not had control of all branches of government for decades. The Republican have repeatedly.

It is the Republicans that have had a "My way or the highway mentality". Not the Democrats.

Who was it that said, "Elections have consequences", and "They can come along for the ride, but they have to sit in the back of the bus", and "If they bring a knife to a fight, we bring a gun", then proceeded to govern as such? Hint, it wasn't a Republican. Who shut down the government, demanding a trillion and a half in new spending? Hint, it wasn't a Republican.

That is because such a vote required 60 assenting votes and not the normal majority. That is more of an exception than what generally happens.

What Requires 60 Votes (Supermajority):
  • Ending Debate on Most Legislation (Cloture): This is the primary use, allowing the Senate to move past a filibuster and onto a final vote on a bill.

  • Waiving Budget Points of Order: To bypass certain budget-related objections, 60 votes are often needed.
In the U.S. Senate, most actions like passing regular legislation, approving amendments, or confirming routine presidential nominations only require a simple majority (51 votes) for final passage.

The Democrats used that to stop what they considered was a bad thing. Nonetheless, for most things only 51 votes are required and that is what CONTROL of the 3 branches of government means!

Sure is, and that's what democrats gleefully wield when they have it. Obamadon'tcare, for example, was pushed through with 1 Republican vote. You would think something so important would have been compromised on to gain as much support as possible. Not democrats.

All of my OP's include links to data, statistics and facts and not to opinions. What you call "bait and switch" only requires to prove something is wrong to stop that from happening. No one has YET proven the data given by me as wrong.

This means that once again, you are deflecting in order not to address the question at hand.

Just debate the issue and forget about the messenger (me). It is the issue that is important. You can't do that?

I am seeing things that happened, that illustrate the way democrats do not seek consensus but use power when they have it. One of the most pivotal pieces of legislation in decades can't get but one vote from the opposing party? That's not seeking consensus, that's rank use of power.
