Nope, I’ve been for tariffs ever since learning about them back in college. Never understood why we were so dumb to not use them. Manufacturing jobs need to be protected. The GOP and Dems didn’t care about hose jobs and sold them out to China.

I noticed you couldn’t address the fact that the EU uses tariffs and that they work great. That’s why in Germany over 90% of the cars on the road are German cars. In France it’s all French and German cars. In the UK it’s British cars (and German).

I don’t care for corporations maximizing profits by shipping jobs overseas and exploiting virtual slave labor. I’d rather see jobs here with good wages, even if that means I’d pay more for a product.

Tariffs are regressive taxes on merchandise. They are a regressive tax.
When they are used to protect industry, you need an industry to protect.
But Trump uses tariffs to punish people who piss him off. That's absurd and childish and does nothing to promote trade. He also truly believes foreign countries pay the tariffs he imposes. Maga cult followers believe that because he says it's true.
Are you an economist? Most economists oppose tariffs because they are not good for the economy. You seem to be for tariffs so that foreign cars will be out of reach for most Americans.
